Horendous! I am an Uber driver and was taking some clients through drive through last night. Upon stopping in the left lane we were not served for a few mins. A car pulled up in the right lane and got served, and then a further two cars got served in that lane and we were not even acknowledged as yet. Meanwhile a vehicle behind me reversed and went into the right also and got served before us while at the same time the computer screen began to reboot. Fine...you may have had a system issue, where the freak was your manual backup system of just talking to us via the microphone? I had to reverse and drive into the right lane and then we finally got served, at which point we had been in the drive through for at least 10mins. When my client at the back of the car who was requesting her order mentioned the issue to the attendant, she was greeted with a mere uhh, and it sounded like the attendant didn't understand what she was trying to say. When we got to the payment window, my client explained the situation again to her and the attendant was adamant that the left hand lane was operating correctly and said she would advise the manager anyway. Um...where the heck was an apology to us and I really expected my clients to have received their food items for free for going through such a debacle. It was 12.04am exactly when we were in the left lane if you would like to view the footage and see how inadequate your service was. With this branch being at the gateway of international and domestic guests of Sydney, I really think you need to lift your game up or shut shop and let someone else manage it effectively. Worst...
Read moreOrder taker tried to up sale to a combo because it was cheaper. I wanted a cold drink ( 600 ml Pepsi) and ordered 6 nuggets. MY Bad ! I scanned my card and walked away to await my food. My first impression on entering was surprisingly good. Standing and waiting for a short time I noticed the back of counter issues with cartons and boxes on floor and counters in food prep area. I then took time to read my docket to find that my items had been charged separatley and included 2 pepsi drinks , neither of which I had ordered, fries which I did not want. $12.70 ? So I politly asked them to to refund the extra drink ($3.50 Can of Pepsi) which the authorised person did. So what does one want from a domestic Airport KFC ? Service! Including staff that can understand a simple order and not be so engrossed in the upsale that they cannot get the simple order correct. Tidyness, all I can say is its lucky that i did not go into the bathrooms because the behind area was a mess.( Subjective? Guilty! ). My expectation of the food was that the nugget would have a firm feel crisp original batter. They were thin pieces of chicken maybe ( 30 grams) , soggy and somewhat like cooked ( fried?) carboard.. I have fond memories of a KFC Christmas takeaway in the Lake Macqure area as as a kid,when our house had been fire damaged in an electrical storm , a couple of days before Christmas. As a leading fast food retailer you should train your staff well. Pay them all a living wage and ensure the chook tastes...
Read moreI tried to place an order in the drive through and my driver was not very good at driving so I almost had to open the passenger door and walk to pay for my order. I ordered 3 drinks and 40 nuggets and a quarter pounderand large strawberry Sunday and paid $42. The Manager handed me a bag with a burger meal and then told me to have a nice day. I told him I ordered the nuggets and believe that 42 bucks should probably cover it surely. He checked and said no she didn't realise and missed it but I hadn't been charged. I asked him to correct the mistaken order and please re-add the nuggets as a number of mates were waiting for them. He said very rudely that I would have to travel around the store and in through the drive through again. I was shocked. It wasn't my mistake my driver clearly heard me order the nuggets 1st. I was very unhappy and I may have been a little rude back to him and he lost it and started cursing and abused me. Or tried to at least. Actually turned out being quite funny
But bring on the AI management team at mcdonald's airport Ross Smith drive I say! Couldn't possibly make more errors than the Indian gentleman who was failing to serve anyone but...
