Mie Thai Engadine — Restaurant in Sydney

We reached a few minutes before closing for the afternoon, and were apologetically told we must order immediately, and that not all items will be available. We ordered the most obvious: red curry, green curry and fried rice, all veggie (the fried rice had egg, but they could probably make one without, if requested). Turned out to be easily one of the best Thai food experiences we have had! Delicious, flavourful, sumptuous, fulfilling. We had not expected to find this in a small wayside town. Quantities were generous. Two curries and two plates of fried rice ('normal' serving) were more than enough to feed four of us for lunch plus to take home for at least one more, all for less than AUD 35. An equivalent meal in a similar Sydney City restaurant would have cost us at least twice this. Delighted! We promised we would go back for more, looking forward to taste the rest of the fare. Ordered tonight as my wife loves thai but have to complain.. the positives were the spring rolls and wings as they are nice !.. the massaman was delicious except for the hair's that ruined that dish !!!.. the chicken with satay was extremely dry and not enjoyable the baby octopus had so much beans it was barely recognizable... the cocnut rice wa nice thou... this is the third time ive been dissapointed so i wont be ordering from this...

I ordered vegetarian jungle curry. It stank bad and had hardly any vegetables it was mostly corn, sauce and mushroom. Was terrible, the worst jungle curry I've ever ordered. There's other bad Thai around that are also tight on vegetables like in Cronulla mall. This is similar in bad food. Charged over $20 for hardly any vegetables. Terrible. Did I mention it STINKS bad.
