I purchased a Chocolate Muffin today (8th October 2025) from a glass display cabinet at a service station. The Best Before date says 4th November 2025 - so just shy of a month. When I opened it and took my first bite, it was rock hard (if I had soft teeth I could predict it may have chipped a tooth!). I then broke off a small piece, which crumbled like sand in my hand.
