Came here on Sunday noon (13/7) and it was quiet during lunch time. As soon as you enter a restaurant, you would be greeted by a waiter and be directed to a table… but nope, not here. There were two girls with black hair and blond streaks standing in front of the counter, not preoccupied and another girl behind chopping food.
I was standing at the door waiting to be greeted, and took them a minute to figure out that a customer had entered inside their restaurant. I was then rudely pointed to sit on any table. It also took them another minute to realise that I needed a menu, and was given the dirty looks by the two girls because I was staring at them, looking confused by their lack of service. Yet, I was finally given a menu and was rudely told to pay at the counter when ready. As a first time customer in a typical restaurant setting, I wouldn’t have known that I needed to pay at the front. 🙄
My food was handed by the girl who was chopping food behind the two main girls, no communication from her either. There was no cutlery provided when my food was handled over. Looking confused again, I’ve waved my hand to the counter asking for cutlery (how do we eat without any cutlery, right?), the main girl with the blond streak rudely pointed to the side wall to get the cutlery myself.
Yet again, I am a first time customer and wouldn’t have known that this was a self serve restaurant. Obviously I wouldn’t have know that either when there was a giant fridge covering the ‘self-service’ bar to get your cutlery.
The Bakso Campur meatball soup was also very bland, lacked in flavour and pretty much tasted like home made instant noodles.
Save yourself the headache by not driving 30 minutes for lacksture...
Read moreI came here last Sunday night. First time trying this indonesian restaurant. My first impression was not good as the settings are tidy and clean. Because it was at night around 7.30, I understand when the menu was a bit limited, particularly the 3 side dishes with rice. We ordered the bakmi, 3 choices of dishes, ayam bakar [grilled chicken], and the fried rise pete - nasi pete. The 3 choice was for 16 dollars, they do not have much, the chicken was super small I was very dissapointed. The restaurant almost at a closing time and they were not generous with the dish. Grilled chicken was super dry, taste ok but won't probably choose that again. The bakmie abang2 was not to my expectations at all, I make much better bakmie at home. This was taste very different than expected and not at all nice. The soup was not seasoned. It was like drinking water. 🍸 The fried rice pete is ok..but not really what I like. Although hubby likes it. So overall is not that appetising for me personally We won't be coming back Price wise it is more expensive than the places I know that sells almost similar thing like in Mascot...
Read moreOn my recent visit to this establishment, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The woman at the counter was extremely helpful and provided me with some great recommendations for what to order. The level of service was exceptional, with friendly and courteous staff who were always willing to assist in any way possible.
As for the food, I must say it was absolutely scrumptious and lived up to my expectations. The flavors were authentic and full of zest. However, I must warn you that the chili sauce served with the dish was quite spicy - a bit too much for my palate. But if you're a fan of spicy food, you'll love it.
One thing to note is that you need to place your order at the counter, and while they bring the food to your table, you need to retrieve your cutlery and water by yourself. But don't let that deter you, as the ambiance is cozy and comfortable, making you feel right at home.
Lastly, I must mention that the Indonesian cuisine served here is genuinely authentic and a must-try. The quality of food and service are top-notch, making it a great spot for a delicious meal with...
