NICHE MOSMAN CAFE — Restaurant in Sydney

Very poor waiter skills. The waiter staff never seem to know what they are doing. The person in charge or could possibly be the owner took my order one day when I patiently waited for over 45mins - to an hour before I decided to get up and ask why my order was taking so long. The owner or person in charge took my order but did not put it through to the kitchen. So I sat there for over 45mins and no food had arrived. I was told something dodgy by the person in charge that they had run out of paper and that is why it didn't go through. Too dodgy! They don't use paper. After that experience I did decide to give them another chance because there food is quite good when you do get it. This time when I went to pay with credit card card the same owner/ person in charge had two tap electronic machines. First one he used did not work as I had placed my card all over the machine waiting for it to work. Then he pulls out a smaller machine which worked. I am a bit suspicious that my credit card may have been skimmed. Time will tell if it used not by myself. I would say they are "dodgy as" and not to be trusted. ...

Won’t be back . Don’t go after 2:30pm on a Friday and expect to be treated politely. Was going to sit down inside and wait for my friend to arrive. Lady waitress glared at me and said no,no, inside closed now you have to sit outside (even though it looked like it was about to rain). I asked what time Kitchen closed and she said 3:30pm, but inside closed for cleaning. I said website said open to 10pm which is why I chose to come. Another snarl and comment…. “2 sittings, next from 5pm for dinner, blah blah, rude tone”. We just had coffee in the end, outside, and at 3:30pm the lady came out, took our water glasses (still with water in them), came back took our coffee cups, came back and again with attitude said “Sorry ladies were are closed”. I have reviewed Niche before but for lunch and snack experience. If you read it you will see I was impressed. Last night we went for dinner for the first time. WOW out loud. This place is sensational. Lin and Andrew make you so welcome it’s like inviting you over to their home for dinner. The service impressive. The food. Golly, where do I start? Magnificent well presented and soooo tasty. Each dish was a work of art. Don’t miss the lobster dumplings, and the wagyu beef carpaccio the prawns in fact pick any dish on the menu and you will enjoy Asian fusion like you have not had before. I’d book because this place is going to be the goto in MOSMAN. The price reasonable. It was what I expected to pay, probably a little less. Definitely value for money.
