Papa G's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Sydney

My wife and I are foodies and like trying new places. Papa G was one of them. We’ve actually had other vegetarian gourmet wood fired pizzas from other places. The taste of the pizzas here wasn’t that exceptional. In saying that this is not a negative review I simply mean to put it in a way that there is plenty of room for improvements. Now to start with toppings increase your toppings. For the amount being charged I would definitely be trying to get value for my money. Secondly, when you write green chillies this actually put me in the perception of fresh green chillies. I latter found that they were pre pickled jalapeños. The place is staggering and has hefty potential to be above and beyond. I’ll leave a 4 star review. I’ll try it again on latter time and up review if the changes have been achieved. Food freshness and restaurant cleanliness achieve 5star here. The ash in oven needs to swept as it make the base taste all carbon. The concepts of wood fire is smoke to enhance the taste and not the actual wood ash on the dough base. Good work guys keep it up. Improvise you’ll be successful!

This is an edit. Moved the review from 4star to 5star. Changes to the toppings with fresh green chillies and the size, temperature and freshness could not be anymore than what we were served. There is a need to be brutally honest. Not sure if I got them on a bad day but this was my experience as first impressions count.

One star for being a pure veg restaurant which serves pizzas and the idea and intentions behind it. That's where it ends.

The product was dry, with hardly any toppings, chutney or moisture. Almost like a piece of crust. It looked freeze dried with no fresh ingredients.and that too, overcooked /burned with no taste. I couldn't even see, taste or feel melted cheese on it.

After spending close to $40 it felt like a rip off.

Just because the store is only one of a few pure veg pizza places in the area , doesn't mean they should make produce with a don't care attitude as there is no competition.

After driving 30 mins to try this, I was disappointed and angry.

Hidden gem... I was craving for good woodfired pizza and google showed me this place. Went there and tried their Mushroom and truffle pizza. Too good. So my this review is based on the pizza i had. But 100% sure i will be going back there to try other stuff as well. The person who baked and served the pizza was very nice. Thanks for a good meal. I am just adding my other experience and changing my rating. We ordered 2 pizzas other week, same mushroom and truffle and vegetarian supreme. This time it was a disappointment. When i went to pick it up, the restaurant was very busy. We took pizzas home and the vegetable supreme had only capsicum and onion on it, which was not even cooked properly. We had to redo it in our oven at home. We added more veggies as well. Hopefully next time we will have a better experience. So i am bringing my rating...
