Pista house Bellavista — Restaurant in Sydney

I only gave it 2 starts cause the food was atleast decent. My parents wanted to go there for valentines and the staff was soo bad. There was one chef and 2 staff people one at the reception (I think it was the manger) and the other was a waitress. And first of all the waitress wasn't cleaning up of the tables. All the tables were messy like that for more than an hour. I understand there was only one person but this was just too much. Also cause my parents also have a food business ik this isnt that hard she could have cleaned it in a few minutes and it was quite obvious that she was being lazy. And this kid vomited but the waitress had an attitude like 'well I gotta clean up everything anyway so I'll just do it the end' so she left the vomit on the ground for a good 20 mins. And the dad of the vomit kid was just following the waitress to get some tissue. One family even ended up leaving cause of this. They had no tissues, all the cutlery was wet wet. And I gotta say this was the worst service I have ever experienced. And when we asked why there was such less staff especially on an occasion like valentines day they said cause there weren't many people at day time. I mean cmon people are probably out at work, and isn't it obvious that costumers will come out for dinner mostly. I was desperately craving some good Dum Biryani and honestly speaking theres not many options around but the fail of biryanis available at most of the places. I went in sceptically with online reviews of 2.8 however i was pleasantly surprised with the set up of the place. As it seemed clean and comfortable. I ordered Mutton Biryani and was praying it was edible. The Biryani was really good with real Dum flavours and tender melt in the mouth meat. I thoroughly enjoyed it to the last grain of rice. I haven't tried anything else so don't know about the rest. The service can be a topic of improvement as there was only one staff member to serve and look after the cash register with a lot of people coming in for takeaway. I guess hats off to her for managing all this and still smiling and looking after customers with a smile. Well done!!! I can understand that times are tight but when it gets busy i don't thing 1 person will do and i guess it an investment to get it busier with service. Other things i noticed and as a suggestion. 1. The entry door was really hard to close from the outside and also when closed on the inside it created a loud wind noise due to the wind blowing from under the door. This surely can be fixed with a cheap door jamb from bunnings. The hand was area looked unloved and cramped with supplies. I have been a fan of Pista House since they opened many years back in Wenty and Westmead. But the one at Bella Vista is really horrible. Got payas and goat biriyani. The payas were totally burnt. If I burn anything half that level, I would throw it out as not fit for consumption. These guys were totally shameless to sell it. The biriyani box has 5 large pieces of goat bones, with literally no meat in it. The bucket biriyani had some 15 small pieces with bones. They were so small, you can only count them as half pieces. So a half bucket that's supposed to be enough for close to 6 people had meat pieces for less than 3 people. The rest of the rice also lacked the flavour. Because I paid so much, I somehow managed to eat half of the paya, remaining 1.5 box went in the bin. I also don't understand how they can make paya without one open end on the bone. The tasty and the nutritious bone marrow gone for waste with that kind of cooking. They weren't concerned in the least bit when we complained, they didn't response when I offered to bring back the unopened box of paya still wrapped in their cling wraps to prove how burnt they were.
