Royal Indian & Pakistani Restaurant — Restaurant in Sydney

Been here for lunch previously and the service hasn't been the best, but the food has been good, so decided to go here for dinner tonight. It's a Saturday night and they were a bit busy, we waited maybe 5 mins to be seated, after being seated for 10-15 mins we still didn't have menus and had to ask for menus, after some time we ordered and then almost an hour later we still hadn't received a single thing we ordered except the drinks!!! The restaurant had about 40-50 diners at this point and was totally full, and there were a total of 5 staff ( 3 kitchen + 2 wait staff) there and we could see the food was coming out so slowly for diners plus there were huge takeaway orders. I asked the waitress if our food had started being prepared yet and I saw her go back to the kitchen and speak to them, but then she continued serving others and didn't get back to me for some time. We then spoke to the chef, who was waiting tables, and said we were leaving and wanted to pay for our drinks. There was no service whatsover, not even to advise there without be a delay..will definitely not be back here......

This was undoubtedly the worst restaurant I have been. Pathetic customer service and average tasting food. I went there for breakfast this Sunday with my family. I was really craving aloo pratha. We also ordered some chicken curry with plain naan. To our disappointment the naans were burnt from edges. Literally charcoal burnt. I asked the waitress to change the naan. She brought back the same naans only the edges were cutt off. I understand the restaurant was busy with buffet at that time but that doesn’t mean they should return back what could be easily fixed by making a new one. Not to mention my aloo pratha was served in the same basket as the naan. I have been to many indian and Pakistani restaurants and ordered aloo pratha. They serve it in a separate plate with yogurt and pickles. This is terribly pathetic service. At the end i was wanting to complain at the counter but i could see the owner working as a chef. I assumed he has done this no point of complaining hence im here leaving a review if they want to...

Really don't understand how they have 4.4 rating here. One of the worst service I have come across in Australia.

Placed a delivery order, received the confirmation with the invoice number. Waited for an hour, called them several times to check the status of the order but no response. 2 hours passed no one showed up. Walked in to the restaurant and they say their online system is down since 4 days so the order didn't go through. No apologies from them instead we came across with a poor hospitality gesture. Totally disappointing, if their online system is down we would expect someone to atleast pick up the call and advise the status of the order. We placed an order again, our order had chicken tikka which they without asking replaced to tandoori chicken as they found out they ran out out of food, when returned home disappointed to see tandoori chicken they offered were half burnt and re-heatead.
