Had a never ever won't return kind of experience.
My order wasn't a big list, it took 45 mins to be waited on the table.
In spite of waiting for 45 mins, I got the Kizhi Parotta that absolutely gone cold. When I opened the Kizhi Parotta, it hardly released any steam. To my shock, half of Parotta was not even soaked in the gravy. It was surely an attempt of ripping me off.
After I told the waiter, he took the dish back to kitchen, and gave another version, which was better. But, at first place why it was served like that in spite of taking 45 mins.
Here comes about the pricing, there is something seriously wrong, I do understand they're giving a great experience for Keralites. A small to medium bowl of beef curry for 25 bucks is a total rip off. How can an extremely small sized appam could be 4$...it was in the size, which I could fold it into 4 and have it at one go. Thanks to Eat Club voucher, I didn't hurt wallet in this instance, otherwise it's exorbitant.
Then another horrendous experience, the guy at the front counter, may be an owner, kept a grumpy face and was possibly yelling at the worker. Just a little note, if you're not happy with your worker, go behind the dining area and express your concerns. Well, it's supposed to be private rather than making faces in the public. It's not pleasing for customers. I literally noticed that the 1st one broke a tea glass by slipping off his hand, but ended up making face to his worker....I had no plan of watching all these, but an extremely long wait for food made me to notice this.
Please revisit your prices and the level of service if you have a long term...
Read moreThis restaurant is a hidden gem for authentic Kerala cuisine! We started with their special mutton biryani, and wow, what a treat! The flavors were incredible - aromatic and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice. The mutton was tender and succulent, and the rice was cooked to perfection. It was a delightful experience that transported us straight to the heart of Kerala.
Next, we tried the Alleppey fish curry, and it was equally impressive. The fish was fresh and flaky, swimming in a rich and flavorful coconut-based gravy. The curry had a wonderful depth of flavor with a hint of tanginess from the raw mangoes that kept us wanting more.
Overall, our dining experience at Sree Flavours was exceptional. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the owners Anoop chettan and Prabha chechi always makes it special with warm hospitality . If you're looking for a taste of authentic Kerala cuisine in Pendle Hill, look no further than Sree Flavours! Highly...
Read moreBased on our friends' recommendations, we decided to try out Sree Flavours.
We ordered the non-vegetarian Pothi Choru, a traditional dish with rice and curry wrapped in a banana leaf. The portion size was generous, with a variety of vegetarian curries and a few pieces of fried chicken. But for the price (nearly $25), one small fried fish seemed slightly disappointing.
We also tried the Lamb Roast, which was okay. The bru coffee at the end was perfect.
Service-wise, it was below average. The staff seemed busy in the kitchen and not around much to help customers. They weren't rude, but it was hard to get their attention. The restaurant could also do with a little cleaning as tables were slightly dirty and plenty of flies.
Overall, our experience wasn't what we expected, but we might give them another try sometime soon, giving them the benefit of doubt it was just a bad...
