So we've been in town for literally less than 12 hours, got in around 8 ish, had little sleep in a hotel I'll be kind enough to not give a review of, and had to wait alll of today (after finding out our work wouldn't start today) where our accommodation was to be... is... so anyways, both tired, scattered, hungry and over the fact that GSA's 'places to see' is scored primarily by cost of parking - we come across the Sahara Bakery, because it's the prominent eatery near our future job site probably, didn't cost a cent to park near was on the corner, and had a catchy "we really actually need some kind of sustenance now" promise going for it.
Yeah, as now - right then I desperately needed a coffee and some carbs. I was after some usual bakery fare but realised very quickly that I wasn't in some bland Queensland country seaside town anymore - the air was laden with flavour, the board was primed with pizza offerings - but in my heightened state of hunger I was drawn to the "pizza wraps" selection.
So for my Queensland brethren - think "kebab" but replace that slim flat unlevened wrap offering with a freshly rolled/proved 5 inch pizza base with a healthy array of your favourite feasts within...
Ah! My mouth gushed at the ponderous thought! I ordered the chicken special, while my colleague ordered the 3 cheese delight, I also ordered a tall long black coffee so desperately needed at that point!
Anyways, the 5 stars might have given you the hint - exceptional service, fast food delivery that absolutely had me satiated. That coffee - ah man, that coffee... like, I'm pretty certain Sydney has better coffee than most places on our continent - but this coffee was simply the best long black I've had of all time, and yeah that's a statement heavily biased on tiers of subjectivity due to alll the reasons - meh, I'll be back for more all the same.
5 stars because it worked for me in every way at the right time - ticked all the boxes that needed to be actioned so I can be here now, completely at ease with the fact that work starts tomorrow and every freakin clock is an hour faster than my body clock yet I'm certain another long black and pizza wrapped feast-of-a-thing will...
Read moreThe best Lebanese pizza around! The food is 5/5. The meat and cheese pizza is my favorite. I have literally been going to this place for over 8 years and have tried every pizza on the menu. You can’t go wrong with anything you order. I have 6 Lebanese bakeries around me in the area and still travel to this bakery for their great food.
However, I will mention that although the owner is a lovely and extremely generous Lady, the the staff don’t speak english very well and they can come across as pushy and rude. They are very busy so i understand the pressure! They have made mistakes with my order before and if they do i recommend you speak to the owener as she will deal with the situation very...
Read moreThe food is awesome and well priced. The staff however are very rude. This has been a consistent basis. I've been just once in 2021 and was once again greeted with rude stuff. Thankfully now Belmore as some options so I don't have go here again. All I asked the person serving me was "how are you?" and repeated it only to be told busy. Well I've made it less busy but being one less customer. There's two very good places in Belmore - Crush Pizza and Belmore Lebanese Bakery.
RESPONSE TO OWNER: My visit was on a Monday well before Ramadan. I reckon 7th or 14th March. Cold service from staff is nothing new at this place. The food and pricing is awesome. A simple hello I'm well thanks, have a good day...
