Tea Republic Mascot — Restaurant in Sydney

Nov 2024: Since I first reviewed this shop about a year ago, I've had a few drinks from Tea Republic Mascot. Unfortunately today I had the worst experience. I placed an order for White Peach Oolong Milk Tea with Honey Pearls through Hungry Panda at 4:46pm. The ETA in the app said 4:59pm. I went into the shop around 4:55pm and asked about my drink. The barister making the drinks said it wasn't ready yet so I sat down and waited. Around 5:08pm I approached the same barister and asked again. Turned out the White Peach Tea was still yet to be brewed... Barister said 5 more mins. When I finally got my drink it was 5:13pm. So it took 27 mins from when I ordered to when I finally received my drink. That's way too long to get a bubble tea. Also, my drink was meant to be no ice but I got 100% ice instead. Very unhappy about my experience today.

2023: Ordered the White Peach Oolong Milk Tea with Golden Pearls through Hungry Panda on Sunday night. I waited outside the shop for a good 15 mins as the app showed my order as still being prepared by the shop. We always buy bubble tea at this place and enjoyed the product. Went to order again today at 11:40am 16Nov. Seems like one female staff is training another new male staff. I purchased a bag when ordering the tea. The new staff forgot to provide the takeaway bag which is understandable as he’s new.

I asked for a bag and told the female staff I purchased one. She was showing bad attitude and went to the reception to check without saying a single word, gave me the bag with attitude.

It seems like it is always an issue with providing takeaway bags. Solution can be asking the customer at the reception if they need one, it’s better than making them do another transaction later on. Seems like the staff sometimes forgets to provide the bag when delivering the drinks. Small things make a difference, hope there’s improvement on this.

Also when I was waiting for my drinks, there are customers who made online order came in to pick up. Order is not ready but the same female staff’s attitude was really bad when saying orders not ready. The tea is premium price I believe your service should match that.

The milk tea was so good! Very delicious with a strong tea taste in it, one of my recent best milk tea! I couldn’t stop myself thinking of it for a few days after drinking it 🤣 It is only because it’s around 1hr drive away from my home so can’t have it again instantly but will definitely comeback!

The only downside was that We came at 8:45pm during the weekday, as we ordered , the staff notified us that honey pearls and mochi were sold out. It didn’t seem like pearls just ran out as we saw couple of customers in front of us couldn’t get it too. It was disappointing as the shop close at 10pm (according to google) , I assume that they could have cook more pearls earlier to avoid disappointment. it is a popular toppings (as other customers behind us were all trying to order pearls) so it should be able to finish up all pearls before closing or around 9:30pm if they...
