Valentines Night.. Dinner arrived 7pm and Restaurant was wall to wall tables inside and out. Obviously overbooked and way too many tables for the size of the Restaurant. We had requested an outside table. After around 15mins we finally called over a waitress to get a drink and take our order. Drinks came around 15 mins later and our entree came at around 8pm. At 8.50pm when our mains had not arrived we decided to leave. People around us were also leaving due to lack of service. Manager encouraged us to stay as our mains were being plated at this time. 5mins later our Mains were served. Mine a Steak was basically raw and sauce tasteless and my wifes chicken was burnt and not as ordered. That was it so we approached the manager and said enough is enough we cant eat the meal please give us the account. She did apologised for food and service and reduced our bill. Very disappointing night. Unfortunately the Restaurant kept accepting more people into it as others left - We were also advised that the new customers and customers inside were being served prior to those outside. Extremely poor service and food - not restaurant quality - a night ruined. The greed of the management would have lost a lot of potential...

Our Valentine’s Day dinner at Taste Italian Grill was nothing short of a disaster. From the moment we walked in, the experience was marred by poor service. The restaurant was busy, but instead of warmth, we were met with hostility from a waitress in a black dress. Within five minutes of sitting down, she pressured us to order, snapping, “If we don’t order now, it will take me 10-15 minutes to come back.” When we spoke briefly in our native language, she rudely asked, “Do you guys understand ENGLISH?”—a comment that felt both unnecessary and discriminatory.
The food wait was excruciating. Drinks arrived after 40 minutes—and our first entrée took over an hour. Follow-ups with the same black dress lady were ignored, leaving us ghosted and frustrated.
What stood out most was the double standard in service. Regular customers received polite attention, while newcomers like us were treated as inconveniences by this same staff. This lack of professionalism ruined our evening.
Other staff were nice though, especially the lady who works in the bar.
We won’t return, nor will we recommend it to anyone seeking a pleasant...
Read moreI’ll preface this by saying I have always had good food here eat in and takeaway, my favourites are the mussels and the meatballs and barramundi and lamb shank, but the service isn’t consistently good. Sometimes it’s great, but since they changed management a while back in hasn’t been what it was.
We ordered takeaway over the phone tonight because we had specific dietary requirements. We ordered pizza (all good) and the Barramundi WITHOUT butter as we have a dairy allergy. The guy on the phone repeated that to me. We got back home and the Barramundi was covered in butter. We called up and after repeating 3 times the issue the response was to ask if we were in the area still and we said no we aren’t coming back there, so they said sorry and that was the end of the conversation. I then spent about 5 minutes rinsing the barramundi under the sink to remove the butter. I shouldn’t have to rinse a $30 plus meal under the sink. The service when we picked up was average too. I waited behind the counter after another person and after he served that person the guy walked away and stood at the bar not doing anything or avoiding eye contact, he eventually walked back and asked...
