So much disappointment made me to decide on starting google reviews..It was the worst experience we had in any restaurants..went in very hungry to have some food on the way back to Canberra. Not only the food, it was the worst customer service we had. The front reception lady was very rude enough not to even open the door for us seeing that we were pushing the trolley and we had baby on our hands, But later it was seen, (very surprising for me) this reception lady and another fellow seems like the owner, saw some Aussie customers coming in, they treated and welcomed them with an artificial grace on her face and opened the door for them and even asked not to do the covid safe registrations. The owner said to them 'its okay don't bother about that'. Also they were given papudum as a welcome dish which we were not offered. In our table this lady even didn't offer a glass of water until we asked for it nearly when I had a hiccup. Also while we were having food we noticed that there were a few take away orders, a couple of them picked up by Aussie guys and another one by seems Indian/Sreelankan guy, most funny thing is that only Aussie pickups will be offered a free can of drink which made them very special.. I felt for that Indian fellow, poor guy he lost the free drink for aussies..about the food..mate who is your 'gifted chef' the 'renowned' recipie of biryani can be made heating rice with chilli powder and coriander leafs and add the meat chicken/lamb as you wanted...which brings spice of life biriyani...what an idea sirji... The place is filled up with appreciation certificates and thank you cards, credibility of those should be questioned!!!. mate, before you do some changes, please ask that lady to learn some manners and to respect everyone irrespective of everything. When asked for the invoice she just came up with the receipt and threw at the table and ran off...seemed like she was busy pleasing the aussies group with pampering and with that 'fake smile'. Also when we had lots of food as leftover, as we don't wanted to waste when asked for a take away container she just came up with a container and did the same with the invoice. She very cautious to come back to the counter when I was paying for the worst experience and food we had. I am here by saying that we will never got to this Indian restaurant any more. it was very unfortunate that we missed the Thai restaurant, unfortunately that restaurant was behind. We initially went in seeing that restaurants review, hungry enough not to look around, so we went in..it...
Read moreI dont have issues with food taste but more on how they take feedback and then work on them. PLEASE DO NOT FOOLD PEOPLE
We had a catering done with spice of life and so many things were wrong that I dont know where to start: Dal Makhni - All of Indians know that dal makhni is black lentils slow cooked in cream to have a creamy dal. But what we got for dal makhni was green and yellow dal which is outrageous !! I was so embarrassed as I had the food tag saying "Dal Makhni" and all my guests told me that "This is NOT dal makhni". Very embarrassing...
2 When we put malai kofta in the menu, we told them 100 times that how many koftas will you be giving per person and were told 2 koftas per person but what we got was just 1 kofts per person which resulted in shortage of the curry again leading embarrassment... :( Also, told them to make it spicy but it was very sweet.
Same for gulab jamuns which were exact 1 per person though we were told that it will be 5-6 extras...
We had shortage of food and when I told this to the owner, I was told that the guy who delivered food said that there were more than 35 people which implies that I will intentionally lie and be in a embarrassed situation! (seriously). And then when I corrected her - I was expecting her to be more helpful or take responsibility.
She was more interested in the payment - which I think we shouldnt have done as the food was not as we were told but then again I guess that was the difference between them and us...
I am never going to them for catering again and will never recommend to any of my friends.
Hoping that I get some good response on this feedback or maybe they ignore this...

After being repeat customer and buying from this shop many times and leaving a 5 star feedback previously for them after today's experience i'm retracting it to 1. Ordered 3:30pm,earlier time then what i'm used to..usually order dinner...told the wait is 45 min...told the kitchen doesn't open till 4:10....fair enough. Even though their trading hours are listed 12pm-9:30.(weird) Ordered chicken jalfrezi like i have many times in the past and chicken biryani but chicken biryani tasted different, bland, and chicken very dry. It tasted stale like it was cooked at some stage previously and re-heated. Decided to call them because this was my favourite indian restaurant. Young guy answered the phone and i told him i just ordered food and got home but it tastes different, asked him if they changed chefs or new owners and he said no. Told him that chicken biryani tasted different and before i had a chance to say anything more he rudely replied "i strongly suggest that you try something else next time"then he said that there are many states in india and that they can't cater to everyone's tastes.
I'm not even indian and its not the first chicken biryani i bought from your shop .
The reason i kept coming back and buying it over and over was because i loved it but after todays old bland, dry chicken biryani dish ended up in the bin and chicken jalfrezi also not tasting fresh and pre-cooked just warmed up and the arrogant reply by the front of house receptionist "i strongly suggest you order something else next time" I can honestly tell you "there won't be next...
