If you’re craving for Malaysian food, you can’t miss this out! Nothing fancy but home food. Environment 4/5 Hidden at one of the small road of Narwee, I din even realise they are there if is not because of GPS. Small little restaurant with about 20 seats, some outdoor. Service 5/5 Very prompt service and friendly staff. Attended us well and helpful. Sizzling tofu 5/5 If you come to Malaysia, you can’t miss this dish. Many since young love this so much that we can finish whole plate of rice just with this tofu topped with starchy gravy sitting on top of sizzling fried omelette. Sambal squid/ okra 5/5 What goes wrong with sambal? Love the tenderness of the squid and the sambal taste authentic! Taste very well with the stir fried okra as well. Kam heong lala 5/5 One of the most popular way of frying in Malaysia. Almost everything can go with Kam heong, especially seafood. A little bit spiciness and tingling sensation. If you can take such flavour you have to try this. Fish head soup 4/5 Traditional way for Chinese in Malaysia to cook fish head in soup. It has a good mixture of other vegetables and tofu as well. Clear and flavourful. Ikan Bakar 4/5 A traditional food that every Malaysian loves! The sambal paste on top of the fish is the spirit of this dish. Masts the sambal and you will master this fish. They have a relatively higher than above average ikan Bakar I had in Australia so far. Will I come back again? 5/5 Very likely! Good food, good boss, good environment. Lots of food haven’t tried yet! Recommended dish - sizzling tofu - sambal squid - Kam heong lala - sambal okra

A quality and authentic small take-away Malaysia cafe, with few sitting areas. The hainanese chicken with noodle was good (8.5/10). But the chicken was just steamed chicken. None of the signature texture and fragrance of a proper Hainanese chicken. The hokkien noodle was good, too (9.5/10). It might be the best in Sydney, but unfortunately my family is Foochow/Hokkien clan, so my standard is unfairly skewed. But I can say that, for me, the ikan bakar is the best in Sydney. Very fragrant. The sambal is perfectly spicy; without robbing the taste from the fish. And the fish has good consistency and absorbed the taste and pungentness of the sambal as well as the hint of the 'bakar' (BBQ) aroma. Or you can say the BBQ-hei, as opposed to 'wok-hei'.

Busy little restaurant. This time I got take away. Ordered the ginger and shallot pork with rice, plenty of shallots but I didn't find any ginger. It was very flavourful. My favourite dish is the butter cream fish, but this time they gave me chicken. It's the same price so not worth complaining. I still enjoyed it, cooked with curry leaves for a hint of flavour. The order came out pretty quick, reasonably priced.

Once this restaurant changed their ownership and brought in their new menu its gone down the drain by the new greedy owners. Extremely disappointing went to have a nice lunch meal but where did the quantity and quality of food go. There was hardly any sauce in the rendang and barely any chicken. This wasn't the first of noticing things are changing in the restaurant. Bought takeaway about 1 week previous to that and the food did not taste the same. I ordered the hainanese chicken and recieve the most scummiest pieces of chicken there was to find and forget asking them for extra ginger and shallot condiment with the chicken as it costs them nothing to make and its like they are losing big money if they give you more than one of their tiniest containers of it. The new owners are very greedy so if they want to keep their customers coming back they better start thinking of their customers not how much profit can they bring in to their pockets. if your customers ask for something extra give it to them and don't have an attitude of your loosing alot of money by doing that when in fact your loosing...
