A two (2) star rating is too much!

They change the menu, they changed the owner, they changed staff, they ruined everything that was good about this place! Well Done!!!

My wife and I regularly dined Imperial Peking at South Juniors club, however something has changed over the past 6 months. The original owner is not present at the place and things have changed. The service is ridiculous; the waiters watch you eat! We dined here recently and when the food got served a bunch of flies flew over our table and hovered around our food. The waiter explained that it is the club’s fault due to open vents??? The manager in charge came over to our table and said “sorry for the flies, I can’t do nothing” all while handing me a menu to swipe the fly’s away!!! To add to this they short changed us that night and charged us for the credit card surcharge even though we paid cash!!! They also short changed us another time and placed our change in the tip jar without asking!!!

Be careful, things have changed!!! They were the best Chinese restaurant and now they are the worst and it is very sad to see this change! An upgrade or change of owner and staff would be great!

I have re-visited this place this evening (Feb 19) to give it another go, they said that the kitchen closes at 9.30pm we arrived at 8.55pm we sat down after much hesitation, the waitress came running asking for the order and I started with drinks and before I could proceed to the entree she cut me off saying that the kitchen is closed. We explained that the first waitress said it closes at 9.30pm & she didn't really want to know.

I can't be bothered writing another review, once bitten, twice shy. Bring back the old owners, Sunny & his team because these new owners don't want...

Imperial Peaking is Mine and my Partners go to Yum Cha place. We go their once a fortnight. We went today for lunch. To be honest we have never really had an issue with the food. The food never disappoints but as everyone knows customer service skills and good food come hand in hand. Firstly we were asked for our drinks order which we made and it never came we had to ask twice and was spoken to very abruptly. We showed that we were interested in looking at the carts and the person pushing around the cards ignored us not once by twice. We decided to eat less then usual and just left. As we went to pay their was a lady in front of us who was paying and was addressed very rudely by Mimi who was at the front dealing with payments. Mimi was fairly rude to the lady when the lady was being very polite and her 4 children she was with. Then it was our turn. Mimi shoved the Eftpos Machine in our face to pay before we even saw the receipt. When we read the receipt it said 'Sauce - $2. I asked, "What does Sauce mean and why is it $2". She responded Its all the sauces you can use like sweet chill , soy sauce ect. But I only used a dash of the soy sauce and my partner didn't use any. This is not displayed anywhere, nor were we notified of this change. Considering we are regulars this was never been on our bill before.

After todays experience we wont be returning and will be finding another...

Very very disappointing. Food was very bland and tasteless not as good as it used to. The manager (with glasses) came to our table - did not say anything and wrote something on our paper bill and walked off without saying anything. He wrote the number '2' and I was a bit curious of why he wrote 2, then I asked one of the waitresses and she said 'it's for the sauces'. I thought, for the sauces?? Never ever been charged for sauces. So took the bill to the cashier when I saw the list of what we had, there was a charge of 2 x $1.50 for sauces. I was gobsmacked - asked it to be removed. The receptionist then removed it but added $2.50 for tea which wasn't included on the bill initially. So really.. whether you like it or not they were going to either charge for the sauces or the tea. EXTREMELY RIDICULOUS! On top she put 1.5% for using EFTPOS! Then the manager took over and he said you said you were paying with Visa. I said I don't even own a Visa card, I said I'm paying with Eftpos. So he got rid off the charge then. So NOT ETHICAL. Will not...
