Lanzhou Beef Hand Pulled Noodles Kingsford — Restaurant in Sydney

Excellent food at an affordable price point especially considering the serving size. You really can’t beat freshly hand pulled noodles made right in front of you. When you order, you have 7 options on how thick or thin you want your noodles!

My personal preference is getting the dry noodles with either chopstick or belt thickness for the noodles. It comes with garlic, coriander and chilli which all combine into a very tasty dish. There’s also chilli oil, soy sauce and vinegar on the tables so you can add them to your liking.

They have great desserts such as the deep fried glutinous rice balls which are filled with a black sesame paste. Another one is the snow pear and rock sugar drink which is very refreshing on a hot summers day.

Highly recommend anyone in the area to give this a go if they’re a fan of noodles!

To start with the service was subpar, the waiter yawned and mumbled as he took our order. When he brought our bowls he didn't bring over any spoons, napkins or chopsticks, not to think there was a self service of utensils, not that he told us anyway, the spoons were still packaged in the plastic they were bought in next to the till. The soup was fairly monotone and lacked any depth of flavour, grab a spoonful of soup and it reassembled the soup of instant noodles, watery with speckles of chilli and flavourings. The noodles themselves however were the highlight, hand pulled noodles were nice and chewy with a great texture. Portion sizes were nice and big, infact enough for two servings almost so thumbs...

This restaurant mainly serves Lanzhou beef noodles. The portion of noodles and beef in a regular bowl is fairly decent, with options to add extra noodles or meat. Although it’s not entirely authentic, the overall taste is acceptable.
