Been coming to this restaurant for over 15 years, always been the best Chinese on the beaches. They must have a new chef now, or under some kind of new management as so many of the dishes are made differently now. My main disappointment is the chicken chow mien. This place has always made theirs SO GOOD and unique, as it was somewhat different to the generic chow miens out there…BUT now it’s just as bad as all the generic ones out there..and my god so disgustingly over salted. Not sure why they have decided to start adding the crispy noodles into the dish to make them soggy (much like other generic chow miens). Bought a combination in special sauce ($25) and this is the serving the gave us!! I will watch a photo (first dish is the $25 combination in special sauce) of another dish so that you can see the ridiculous size comparison. Obviously under serving this dish as it has multiple meats in it. Long story short… 3/10 this visit. (August 2024).

I’m giving it a two cos it’s down the road from me and it’s convenient. The Tom Yum is a firm pass. Not good. Everything else that I’ve tried is either really oily, chewy or over salted. Really poor choineese (spelling it this way as it doesn’t deserve the title of Chinese - as it’s Aussie Asian food at the most)

Thought the wife and I would try this place last week as the complex seems fairly ‘new’ and a decent Chinese restaurant in the northern beaches is pretty hard to find….The waitress / owner wasn’t very engaging with us and some of the other customers and it seemed to be a mediocre interaction… no smiling, conversation etc… We both had not eaten since the night before and were pretty hungry, so we had the lunch special. The San Choi Bow wasn’t too bad and we enjoyed that meal. My satay chicken was pretty close to 40/60 ratio of chicken and onions which was less than average, the fried rice tasted ‘a bit off’ and looked like the rice grains were very small (over tossed or redone?), so I had two spoonfuls and did not eat it. My wife had the Mongolian Beef and fried rice and although the sauce was pink in colour (looked like a sweet and sour), my wife ate her meal without complaint. Later that evening and into the next morning, my wife started to have bad stomach cramps, vomiting and diarrhoea. She was sick for two and a half days and the only meal she had was that one…. We strongly ‘suspect’ it was contaminated food as that was all she had and regularly has a very health diet… Sorry but we won’t...

We have been coming here for our takeaways for the last two years. The last order was absolutely horrendous. From the moment I got a call from the delivery driver telling me ‘he couldn’t be bothered to come to the door because sturdee parade is to complicated’ I knew that this restaurant has either recently changed hands or the quality of service has deteriorated dramatically.

The Szechuan chicken was inedible, it was bathed in soy sauce and was so insanely salty, no spice to it at all and the whole dish was thrown away.

The Sweet and sour chicken was bright pink, I had never De anything like it before and again the dish was bland and thrown away.

The beef chow Mein was also so bland and tasteless. It was like no effort had gone into any of the food at all.

This place used to be so good it has since gone to the dogs. What on earth is going on??????

We won’t be returning after the last experience with...
