Let me start by saying I am a well seasoned local Zeus enjoyer, with my consumption career spanning three years and over one hundred orders. The time has come for me to leave my informed evaluation of their Gladesville establishment. There has been a bit of turnover with the staff in the last few months, but a couple dedicated employees still recognise me by my online order.
FOOD: The consistency, cooking quality and taste are very consistent. I like that. But the quantity and subsequent value for money fluctuates. Sometimes I'll order a large sweet potato chips and hardly get what would fit in a 'regular' container. Occasionally my mini Tzimmy pita wrap will come with only a measly triplet of chicken pieces. That being said, they always - ALWAYS have gotten my order correct.
Let it also be known that over three years, I have found a human hair in my, or one of my friends' pita wraps THRICE. Maybe this is a tipping point for you, but on the contrary, maybe my persistent loyalty to the restaurant despite the annual hair is a testament to the rich and tasty greek flavours of the food.
SERVICE: I wouldn't say the service is above and beyond. Recently, especially with the QR code ordering, they consistently forget to bring us cutlery to our table. Frustrating. They don't make any efforts to be conversational, but that being said, I haven't had a particularly negative experience with them. They're not employed to entertain conversation, I suppose.
ATMOSPHERE: I feel this aspect, for me, is subject to my own personal biases due to the nostalgic memories and conversations I've had with friends in the restaurant. But still, the bathrooms are (almost disproportionately) nice, the self serve drinking water is chilled and the greek music is authentic...
Read moreCame to Zeus whilst waiting for a tire change at Bob-Jane; i have been to other Zeus locations and the menu is the same. Pita's with other greek dishes, I purchased the uncle Tzimmy. Pita size is reasonable; if you're particularity hungry, i would opt to purchase another different one. As it was lunch time; they had a lunch combo which was with chips and a drink; we also got some calamari and it came with a lemon wedge with a side of aoili. They accepted card at the location as well; i'm unsure if the food they served was halal. There was a hand basin where you could wash your hands prior to eat which was situated in the main restaurant floor and not in the toilet (good idea as it saves waiting in the queue just to wash your hands; i think this is consistent with the other location as well). Furthermore there was a water station for filtered water with ceramic cups and jugs; the location does not offer any specific parking; however there is plentiful street parking. All in all; its a great place for families, very clean, accepts both cash and card/EFTPOS and the service staff are very accommodating...
Read moreHey Zeus management, or franchise owner. You should educate your staff that the customer is always right, not always but almost always. No need for apology reply or sorry to hear that, what you need to know you lost a client and will never step a foot inside your store again.
I’ve ordered two pita meals, got the two pitas and two drinks but one chips, I’ve asked the guy where is the second chips, he said you only ordered one meal, I said can’t be, he said you did, we had a bit of argument and the manager said just make him chips with a loud voice showing that he was pissed off! After delivering the chips they just added salt on the wound!! They wanted to charge me 4.5$ extra where the difference should’ve been $2, my argument wasn’t because of the $2 or $4.5 extra, it was how these guys did not accept they did not hear me correctly and kept or arguing. You seriously ruined my lunch!
The most ridiculous part was the manager comes out and says who himself has been in the country for couple of years or less to speak loud and clear!
You have employed bunch of...
