After leaving the gym around the corner, I was struck by a deep-seated hunger. I jumped on Google, and did the classic 'food near me' search. Much to my amazement and delight, there was a burger joint not 3 minutes from my location. My excitement began to build as I plugged in the directions and started the car.
I pulled into the parking lot to find a quaint little food truck, which was parked outside a quiet brewery. Upon approaching the stand I could see there were a number of choices, but one really spoke to me. The double cheeseburger.
The gentlemen running the stand were kind and happy, and were humming tunes as they began to prepare my meal. I watched in awe as the two juicy patties sizzled on the grill plate, cheese starting to drip down them. I began to salivate.
When the man handed me my food he did it with a smile, and I could feel the weight of the burger as I carried it over to a table in the brewery. When I opened that cardboard container the sweet smell of meat and cheese hit my nostrils. I picked up the burger, and immediately I knew this was going to be an experience that would not soon be forgotten.
It was one of those burgers that you can only just get your mouth around. The perfect size. The first bite was heaven. The combination of meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, caramelised onion, and that special sauce danced around my tongue like a delicious symphony. And the bun. Oh the bun! The pleasure centers in my brain lit up like a Christmas tree as I continued my journey through this masterful burger.
By the time I finished the burger I was satisfied and content, like a lumberjack after a hard day's work. As I left the venue I told the gentlemen running the stand that the burger was absolutely fantastic, and made my way back to my vehicle.
Since my experience yesterday eve, I've not had one hour where I haven't thought about that burger. It came to me in my dreams, and it haunts me in my waking hours. Certainly one day I shall return to that quaint little food truck, and walk back down the path of...
Read moreAn unassuming burger food truck that has impressively tasty burgers. I've tried the cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, and the truffle burger. All astonishingly satisfying
My favourite element about their burgers is the patty. It's thick (2-3cm), juicy, and not squished. It's the burger your uncle wishes he makes every bbq.
Of course they're better when they're fresh but if you have to eat them 30mins later the burgers still hold their flavour well.
Service is friendly, wait times are not too long (it's a 2 man op), and there is parking and some tables on site.
Call before you head there because the times listed are not accurate.
*Update 2 months later Tried the same burger truck and sad to say the quality has dissipated. Though the order was impressively quick, paying almost $50 for 3 subpar burgers isn't worth it. The paddies were thin, lacking in juice, and tasted more of oil than meat, and the flavours were subtle and bland. What originally was a stand out has perhaps settled into just another burger truck. Let's try again in another 2 months and hope for the best. Consolation, the...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of trying several dishes from The Beef Burger food truck, including their truffle burger, beef tacos, huli huli, tofu taco, and prawn twisters. Each item was packed with flavor, cooked to perfection, and served in generous portions. The truffle burger was rich and indulgent, while the tacos were bursting with fresh and well-balanced ingredients. We originally came across their food truck on Facebook, and after hearing great things, we decided to visit their spot at The Village Days Brewery in Ryde. They certainly lived up to the hype and did not disappoint!
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the serving time was impressively quick, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. Additionally, the brewery location offered plenty of parking, making it convenient for visitors to drop by and enjoy their meal without hassle.
If you’re in Sydney, this food truck is absolutely worth a visit. We’ll definitely be returning the next time...
