Whilst I do actually feel quite bad about having to leave this review - the team are friendly and efficient- I had lunch here, slightly on a whim but I actually felt like sitting down at a table instead of a takeaway lunch. Lunch menu outside is advertised as $12 small $14 large. Do note that these are takeaway prices only, although sign does not actually say that. $18 for my lemon chicken lunch, can of sprite $5, and $8 for a wonton soup with three wontons is a total of $29. I had no idea - a very expensive lunch for a student thinking she were having a cheap and cheerful chinese lunch. It probably were bit tasteless but that is what salt pepper and soy sauce are for I guess. Not worth $29 for a lunch, sorry.

Not bad considering some places. Friendly staff and the food was pretty decent for this cuisine. The Mongolian beef was nice and spicy with a good amount of meat. The special fried rice was just OK, mostly rice.

May be acceptable to the locals, but way underwhelming for a Asian customer.

I have never before been so keen to ensure I write a bad review, however people need to be warned. I was taken there by a local and the first thing I noticed was the old building that looked more like an ex local 1950's hardware shop. Upon entering it stunk of damp as if it's been leaking water for 30 years. The carpet looked like it was once from a workshop and planted in the middle of the floor was a bain-marie also from the 50's. The tables and chairs were old and somehow I couldn't bring myself thinking this was going to be good. We ordered 3 dishes and I have already told / warned a few locals and friends from around the country that the only way to make food this bad would be to get a group of 5 year old kids to chop up the food and have a 9 year old pan fry it with none of them being coached. The food was total crap. It was incredible how bad a standard was set. To my amazement they charged around $23 per dish and this was lunchtime ! What are they thinking? I am a multi award winning chef a businessman and author. I have travelled the world and this restaurant got my award for being the worse food I have ever eaten. And believe me, I have eaten throughout cities and countryside's from Indonesia all the way through to Europe covering almost every country along the way. If you want to freak your friends out, take them to the Beijing...

Young waitress very forgetful and needed some training. Waited over an hour for our staggered entrees to arrive and they were terrible. Beijing Combination soup was like water with massive chunks of cauliflower and broccoli, chicken and sweetcorn soup no flavour and served with peas in it? No spring onion. Run out of sweet and sour pork Duck was dry and obviously bought in cooked then frozen and reheated. Deep fried ice cream balls served swimming in tinned fruit and juice and should be served with a hammer and chisel and coated in coconut crumbs. Sorry guys but it was terrible. Maybe the cook was off...
