Village Milk Bar & Takeaway — Restaurant in Tasmania

I go here regularly staff are all amazing the shop is clean and organised food has almost always been great. I can't give 5stars due to twice fish has not been fresh it's had very strong ammonia smell ant taste that I've had to spit it out and give to the dog. Other than this everything has been perfect. Tasmania is an island I see no reason why there can't be freshly battered fresh fish every day. It takes little time and effort and it's 💯 better flavour and cooks quicker because it's not frozen It does not save time....yes I'm experienced in this matter. Fish is very expensive and for such high price fresh should be sold when u r surrounded by seawater. I will continue to buy from here as everything else is amazing including staff with smile and welcoming attitude Good service is hard to find so I give this place 4 stars Fresh fish would have...

Well I wont be going there again and certainly not in the company of interstate or overseas visitors. Behind the counter on the wall blackboard was this: If women are so bloody good at multi-tasking, why can't they have a headache and sex at the same time?. So we get a sandwich and a drink and stand at the counter and proceed to wait no less than ten minutes trying to pay and leave while people arrive after us and get served first. Meanwhile 2 workers standing there chatting. The food is basic pre made cold burgers on a good day. Dont bother go somewhere they appreciate a paying customer. We put the food and drink bmack and went to the bakery. Better choice...
