Bellys Bar N Grill is a wonderful, high-class yet comfortable restaurant with delicious and sophisticated meals, good service and a lovely atmosphere. It's best described as a Sydney restaurant with a Tasmanian character.
Each and every menu item is wonderful. The namesake - the twice-cooked pork belly - is the mouth-watering star of the table. There are plenty of options for different tastes - salads, calamari, fish, steaks, all equally high quality.
The service is quick to attend when they can, but due to the sheer number of people in the restaurant at peak times and density of seats, there can be longer wait times in the evenings. The waitstaff are pleasant and considerate.
The atmosphere is sophisticated while retaining a bit of Tasmanian liveliness. The decor is simple and pleasant, and the lighting is perfect. The only issue I have is sitting near the bar - which is often a little too rowdy.

Read moreWOW, that cob loaf was sensational!! And we loved the way it was served. Also had the twice cooked pork belly and the mixed grill this time. We were not disappointed.
Belly's Parmi night this week hit the spot. Not just a standard parmi special, but 5 to choose from. I had the Firecracker (pictured) with extra spice and a side salad. Yes it was as good as it looks!! Hubby had the Breaky parmi and rated it too. Nice work Belly's!!
Back for another parmi, yep💥Firecracker 💥 again which was so good - and massive! The chicken filo parcel from the specials board was also great. We shared the sticky pork belly bao buns for entree and they were demolished before i got a pic. Belly's, you've...
Read moreVery popular. Most of the food was good. I had the coffee rubbed beef rump, and while it was cooked how I wanted, it had no flavour to speak of. Which I found surprising, and disappointing, in rump. A lot of my fries were overdone too. I would have liked the thick cut chips with this. The creamy garlic sauce with prawns was nice enough, along with the little salad. I had a sticky fig and date pudding for dessert which was of high quality. I'd rank it at number three in my pantheon of sticky date puddings, which, when you consider how many I have had over the years, is high praise. All in all though, it's not a bad eatery. I can see why it's popular. The staff were friendly and attentive, it's clean, and the prices are par for course. I reckon you would definitely need a booking. We were there on a Friday night, it was very busy. Give it a go if you're...
