To the restaurant owners ,my local folks, you have no idea where the unhappy customers shared their experience, one of the largest social medias in the world and most of the users are Chinese. I have no idea what happened exactly but I believe you only have told half of the truth and same to those Chinese customers. I gave you five star here just to encourage you to face the truth that nobody is perfect. I know we Chinese have a lot of problems, but same to some Aussies. racism is not acceptable in Australia anyway. Hopefully this can end soon and you can have a better business. If you did something wrong just give those customers an apology like a man. If you truly didn’t,just keep defending yourself bravely. I hope it’s just caused by a culture and language misunderstanding and nobody had evil intentions to each other. But be careful, people may keep digging this event in social media,so you had better be honest.
To my dear Chinese fellows, I just want to say we have a lot of problems like those things reported in local media’s again and again. I don’t have to speak it out because we all know what they are. Maybe those things have made local people think bad of us and then they show us their racism attitudes. I feel bad for those Chinese customers. It’s not fair to them and they shouldn’t experience all these things,if they have done nothing wrong. Sometimes it may be language misunderstood or culture misunderstanding. Or maybe just like it’s reported in wechat this time the owner is a true racist. I just want to say whatever the owner is,let’s reasonably and bravely defend our rights. But let’s remember as well that we have a lot of problems. Maybe at the same time when we condemn the owner we should reflect our behaviors. Again, sorry to those Chinese follows. May God be with them...
Read moreI used to be a very regular costumer. Living in the same town of orford. Once complained after asking for no salt and getting salty buy at least being able to brush it off. Then order a few days later same for request for a battered burger to have no salt i got more salt. A week after i gave one more chance after 30 years going here ( current owners had had for a few years) got more food and was inedible as the amount of salt would most likely have been toxic. 50/50 buy weight when i weighed on scales when i got home. One member of the staff a few months later laughs when I seen them at local store and said cook was only having fun at you for not liking salt (even in copious amounts) so after 35 years of going there I've vowed never to go there again for the rest of my life. I'm 53 so a lot of lost food ordered. Since told friends and 34 agreed with me they love having so called fun. I see lately they now reduced opening hours dramatically. 5 hours per day. I hope they suffer bankruptcy because of disdain of people who ask for no added salt so they give them extra. Seriously even if I live to be one hundred years old I'll never go back the again. Along with many friends. Unless goes under new owners. Also why can't I go leave a negative star review? If i...
Read moreExecutive summary: Not a cafe, menu is all deep fried. Lady behind the counter is grumpy, chef thinks it's cool to come out to the carpark to glare at you as you leave without ordering.
Stopped here to get a quick snack at a Cafe. It's more a fish and chip shop though. The entire menu is deep fried and beige, which is fine but not what we were expecting from a Cafe.
One of our party needed to use the restroom and while they were in there we decided we might try elsewhere. When we got up to leave we triggered scowls from the woman behind the counter. At this point she hadn't spoken to us or come to take an order. Or even made eye contact. We felt uncomfortable so decided to leave by the back deck.
As we were leaving in the car, the chef came out and stared menacingly at us as we reversed and...
