I popped in here on my last night in town and had a great chat with Virginia the owner. I wish I came sooner. She has lived here for 30 years and generously shared so much with me. In fact she is the only local I've met, and went to lengths to stress that she does like mountain bikers. I will definitely be returning for a beer next time (she also stocks a decent variety of brews). Great place for a beverage and a chat with one of the only true “Locals” left in this town of Derby! The owner is a beautiful person who has so much knowledge of the area and the beer is cold and frothy after a big day on the downhill bike trails! Wonderfully quirky front bar, with an equally quirky owner Virginia who is both a staunch defender of and fount of knowledge on the local history.
