This is a local eatery well known and well used by the residents of Circular Head, Tasmania. It is a town institution, unaffected by a recent Change of Ownership / Management. Sadies stands alone in being open every day including weekends until 7 pm, so there is always somewhere to get a meal, when all other outlets have limited opening hours. The takeaway service is excellent, and the staff are polite and eager to serve. Table service is sometimes a little wanting in detail, however, and occasionally I have had reason to send an order back to be completed. Kitchen issue? It does not really matter. This is a good roadhouse café style menu, nothing sophisticated, and probably not the healthiest option, good for a once a month venture, would be concerned if I had school age kids calling in daily. Excellent chips, but not too often..? The menu I think has improved since the changeover and there is a fridge option of more salad-type meals to take away if not needing a hot meal. The Eat-in dining room is ordinary, a bit bland, not enhanced by boldly painted walls, and piped music could be turned down a notch - conversation is made a little difficult. There are clean, toilet facilities. This place is worth being aware of, and worth a visit, and it offers a good service to the community. Most trade appears to be for Take-away meals and snacks, much precooked in the counter cabinet, and usually a 10 minute or so wait for eg a...
Read moreI went to sadies the other day to get my favourite drink an iced chocolate but it came out as a milk shake instead no ice cream no whipped cream just a milkshake I was sorta disappointed with that they wrte so busy I couldn't even ask for another so I was hoping I could just pay the milkshake and ice chocolate but I had to pay the for the ice chocolate. Also chips have gone bad they use to be so good until they turned to the straight cut what happened to the crinkle cut. Sadies could make those to perfection but can't seem to do straight cut. Chips are so dry and just doesn't taste right. Sorry sadies your prices are rising way out of my...
Read moreOh my gosh, this place is sooooooo bloody good. I had to fight with the truckies first thing on Easter Monday for a coffee. It's so popular. The food is so fresh, hand-made, reasonably priced, and delicious. One day 1 we had a coffee, hot chocolate, bacon and egg sandwich made to order, and a chicken and salad roll. All delicious Today, I dropped in quickly to get 2 homemade quiches, and the kids stole them from me because they tasted so good. Great service. I highly recommend either taking away or sitting in and enjoying as there is a huge dining area connected!...
