Sticky Beaks Pizza — Restaurant in Tasmania

Arriving without booking in a large group of 18 did not phase the team at Sticky Beaks for an early dinner. I could not speak more highly of this wonderful Cafe. Within moments the staff had rearranged the tables and chairs to accommodate our large group ranging in age from high chair to senior citizens. We were all hungry and the menu choices were amazing. I overheard so many comments regarding the variety of options. We ordered everything from the Steaks, Flathead tails, Scallop Pot Pies, Pizzas, Soups everyone ordered something different. We were amazed at the efficiency of the turnaround time from ordering to the meals arriving. Piping hot and freshly prepared. No one waited long for their meal. So appreciated by all in our group. And the desserts... l think we all ordered those Rhubarb & Berry Crumble, Ice Cream Sundaes, Sticky Date Puddings, Golden Syrup Dumplings. The perfect choice for us to have stumbled upon as we were initially looking at the Hotel across the road for dinner but they were booked out. Dropped into Longford to grab a bite to eat from Blenheim inn, unfortunately they had closed the bistro early for the day, so we decided to take a wander over to sticky beaks at the inn’a recommendation.

Well, I’m glad we did!

We waited about 10 minutes for food, which came out piping hot and delicious! The large flathead meal comes with 5 pieces of decently sized, and well buttered fillet.

The burger I had was cooked in a way that made me feel I was eating a home cooked burger. (Sauces are not included on the burger, but a range of sauces is provided near the counter.

The cooks paid special care to make sure one of our friend’s salad did not contain onion.

If you’re a fan of Lamb shanks, go no further than Sticky Beaks, one of the best lamb shanks my partner has ever had. (It’ll change your life)

Never randomly visited Longford before, on a whim decided on an early dinner, Sticky Beaks caught my eye as it looked warm and comfortable. I totally enjoyed my meal, grilled fish with chips and salad...attentive staff, great prices and awesome window seating. Missed put slightly on my 5 star review, as glasses were provided at the table but no water was forth coming and I couldn't see a self serve option...but no biggy, everything else...
