Sea Bay restaurant — Restaurant in Terrigal

Strangely Sea Bay Terrigal is really bad and not representative of Sea Bay in Sydney. We have tried it on several occasions, hoping it will improve, but to our dismay, it hasn't. In addition to dining in, we have attempted to order out every time something goes wrong. Firstly, they have to text you a menu, then place your order, and the lady is always rude. On one occasion, we went to pick up our order when they said it would be ready, and they had forgotten even to make it. The staff was friendly and the location was fantastic. However the food tasted off and wasnt authentic chinese. The dumplings and all of the various dumplings are not made freshly and im sure they are frozen dumpings tha were being fried or steam. For the price that we are paying would have expected freshly made dumplings from scratch and authentic portion or meat for sure. It was kind of dissapointing :(.

The ONLY restaurant with authentic Chinese cuisine on the Central Coast. The Mapo Tofu is the best I've had anywhere in the world, just perfect.

Avoid the 'Aussie classics' and try for the menu items you don't recognize, be prepared to be surprised, shocked and educated as to true regional Chinese (northern mostly) flavors.

Recommend Mapo Tofu and Hot/sour noodles (Szechuan classic - they do it well).
