This was something else......

Pro: The kids Fish and chips was hot and fresh (The only hot meal that made it to our table) Kids get improvised colouring in sheet with crayons, some needed to be sharpened but the thought was there.

Cons: 25 minutes for drinks to arrive Missing items and having to ask multiple times for missing items Nearly an hour for food which was under rated and over priced. Albany octopus was as hard as hard leather and had five tiny pieces of a tenticle per plate on a lemon and aioli sauce with a few small pieces of lettuce and beans, they were that drowned in it we were trying anything to make it tolerable, turns out the tomato sauce from the kids meal will help.

Pork Belly was tiny as was the ribs. Service was sub par at best however in all the venues and restraunts I have gone to, having been told yes they do split billing. I have never been told by staff that they can not figure out the order and to tell them our amount off the bill. Said I know exactly what we ordered for myself and my wife along with our daughter and could they not run it up hence the split billing, he said no because it was a big order and he couldn't figure it out and for me to. I mention we can not as they take the menu after we order to which he was nice enough to hand me so I could take it back to the table to work out to the rest of the tables shock as such service has never been seen or unherd of.

Missing food and drinks, already a bad start. Over priced and under rated food, not helping.

Figure out your own prices and let them know, would not recommend going back to this place as it is a joke.

Also total items ordered: 15 Drinks 12 Mains 2 Servings of share chips

Final notes, Had not for the fact it was a celebration and the time went into orgonising this, we would not have stayed.

There is a McDonalds about a 7 minute drive down the road where we ended up getting HOT food as almost everyones food was cold...

The staff are horribly rude!

I honestly cannot express how shockingly rude the staff are and it is truly disappointing. I have been three times, once solo for coffee, then for breakfast with a couple of friends and finally as a large group with a booking. On every occasion food or drinks have taken an unreasonably long time to arrive. For example, even when I've ordered a pre-made juice they made me wait 30 minutes to bring it to me with the lid removed and there were only 3 other small groups of people in the establishment so it was not busy at all and the wait was inexcusable.

They also have given me the incorrect order (after nearly an hour wait) and then asked me "okay, but do you ACTUALLY want to change it" when I explained to the blonde waitress that the food was not the dish I ordered and that it had taken over an hour. Meanwhile the same waitress was exceptionally inattentive, having spent the hour we were waiting doing nothing but talking with her friends who were customers occupying a table next to us and ignored us when we tried to interrupt and get her attention about our order. Very unprofessional! (The same waitress has also blatantly ignored customers trying to get her attention on separate occasions that I've been a customer and this is very inappropriate).

Very disheartening that the staff are so rude and unprofessional. The atmosphere they create completely ruins what would be an otherwise beautifully located establishment with quite decent food. In conversation with family members and other friends who have visited Market Island separately, I've found that we have all experienced the same disgracefully poor service, so this is no exaggeration.

Will not be returning and absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND unless they do a massive overhaul of, or alternatively, completely retrain their...

The past 2 times I have visited the customer service from the manager was seriously lacking. She preached about booking a table which we obliged on a Wednesday morning wven though the place was not even a quarter full. After having our food and drinks we decided to order another round of coffees, to be told we needed to move off our table. We asked for another and she offered a high table or outside; we were puzzled as the venue was still only a quarter full. I am in my third trimester and the 3 friends I was with had newborns; the high table was extremely uncomfortable on us but we moved to it to enjoy our coffees. Our original table was reset and nobody sat at it. We were there for another hour and the venue remained only quarter full with the original table staying empty the whole time. The manager was clearly just wanted us to leave even though we were still paying customers.

Two weeks later I waddled in and asked for a table, I was offered a booth and I said it would be uncomfortable and asked could we sit at the longer table at back; the manager said no as she was “closing” that part. I walked out and waited for friends to arrive to make a plan on what to do; in the meantime another friend went in and got the long table at the back in the “closed” off area where there were 2 other tables in use also. The manager could really do a course in customer service I have enjoyed this venue multiple times over the years even hosting my baby shower there in 2021 but I won’t be back now as she has made myself and my friends feel...

Started the day with the train breaking down at Currambine Station, making my partner and I late for work. So we rushed back to the car and hot footed it into the city, arriving their, just as the train arrived aaaarggggggghhhhhh!!!!! I just made it to my workshop, which was awesome, so my mood had mellowed by 2pm when I went to pick up my partner who finished work early. Out of the blue, she said lets head to the coast and go to Trigg for a late lunch/early dinner. Well! What an awesome choice to go to Island Market...... 🏝 No problems with Free parking..... as it was mid afternoon.... no wait to be seated..... right next to the window over looking the ocean, complete with surfers. Attentive wait staff took our order as soon as we were ready....... Drinks arrived promptly, and with a smile.... Food was not far behind and were sooooo visually pleasing when they were set down. And then the food org*sm 😋 began....... and both main dishes were sublime, lamb and steak cooked to perfection. The cocktail for my partner she really enjoyed, but... no wine list???? And not the best choice of beers. However..... this did not deter from the wonderful experience. And then.......... to full for desert.... we decided to take away..... so nice later that evening when we were ready.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. I strongly advise you to make a reservation before visiting. ⁣ When we arrived, there was only high table (indoor) and outdoor seating available. We decided to go ahead with the outdoor seating to take advantage of the breeze. It is possible to be both cold and sunny at the same time. Remember to wear sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun's rays.⁣ ⁣ We can't decide what to eat, so we order the 5-course meal for $𝟕𝟎 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧. ⁣ ⁣ We had⁣ ⁣ 👍🏻𝗪𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐛𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐝 $𝟔 ⁣ Pair with with pumpkin hummus $7⁣ ⁣ The two complement each other well.⁣ ⁣ 👍🏻𝐙𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐢 & 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐦𝐢 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐧𝐮𝐭 & 𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐧𝐞𝐡 $𝟏𝟖 ⁣ Nothing could possibly go wrong with fry fritters.⁣ ⁣ 👍🏻𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐝𝐨, 𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐨, 𝐜𝐮𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫, 𝐣𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐞ñ𝐨, 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞 $𝟐𝟔.𝟓𝟎⁣ Very appetising and refreshing.⁣ ⁣ 👍🏻𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫. 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐛 𝐭𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐢. 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐚. 𝐩𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞 $𝟐𝟑⁣ ⁣ 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧, 𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢 𝐲𝐨𝐠𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐭 $𝟑𝟗⁣ This dish was dry and tasteless. Food: We visited Island Market Trigg on a Wednesday lunch time, by the time our food was served (3x $75 taste plates, some drinks, and a kids meal) we had been there a little over 2.5 hours. The plates included fresh/raw scallops in a beautiful tomato-lemon oil, a plate of asparagus on a bed of sundried tomatos, a generous swirl of hommus with roasted garlic and warm bread, lamb (cooked perfectly) with a green herb sauce and a gravy (this is officially my desert island dish) with a side of cabbage and quinoa. Desert consisted of three panna cotta’s with a sprinkling of pistachio and a half strawberry on top. Interesting and delicious. Food portions were on the small size. Don’t come here on an empty stomach. Atmosphere: hot and loud. Don’t get me started on the flies... Service: one star highlight. Our waiter was obnoxious when we asked questions about the food (as this was our first (and last) visit here), but there was a point where we had been waiting for a plate to come out for about 40 minutes - I made eye contact with her and waved, and she turned around and walked off while side-eyeing me.
