Beca Bakes — Restaurant in Uralla

Brilliant vanilla slice, is one of the best I have had in my travels around Australia. The raspberry croissant was so tasty and I am not normally one to buy a croissant but it looked so good. The coffee (long black and flat white) were both wonderful. The dark rye and fruit and nut loaf are both great. I would have bought a white sour dough loaf to take with us if I had room in the freezer. We are wish this bakery was in Brisbane as every bakery near us on the Northside of Brisbane is terrible rubbish. The pies and baguettes here looked really good. We will try to get back tomorrow to try more from your enticing selection before we hit the road. Can tell a lot of love and pride goes into everything in the shop. Oh joy, oh bliss. What a glorious place to be! Everything I’ve tried so far from Beca Bakes is exceptional in flavour and execution. You can taste the effort and the quality of ingredients that goes into all of Beca Bakes extraordinary creations. So far the meat pie and the tarte au citron are the favourites closely followed by the mille feuille (vanilla slice) but I’ll persevere and keep on working my way through the menu. A definite bonus is that the coffee was excellent too. It’s not the easiest place to find but google maps got us there or just find them at a weekend market in Armidale or Uralla. Great bakery! Awesome coffee, pies and treats.

Picked up an assortment of goodies for my family and friends. All rousing successes! We had the raspberry crumble, fruit mince tart, cinnamon scroll, brownies and the croissant loaf. My personal favourite was the morning bun/ cruffin.

For lunch I grabbed a lamb curry pie, fresh and excellent layers to the pastry and meat melts in your mouth.

Coffee was FANTASTIC, up to scratch with Sydney city coffee spots which was very refreshing.
