We visited Brown Brothers Winery restaurant for lunch — one of the few refined dining options in the area, and it didn’t disappoint. They were very accommodating when we needed to reschedule, which was much appreciated.

We opted for the set menu with the Patricia wine tasting, and I loved that they offered a dedicated vegetarian menu. The sourdough was fresh and subtly flavoured, and the Dutch cream potato starter was a standout — especially for someone like me who enjoys potatoes in all forms! The house pasta topped with crispy kale was my personal favourite.

While the mains felt a bit repetitive in structure with just a different hero element, the flavours were enjoyable. The fresh salad with cheese shavings was a refreshing addition, and the wine pairings complemented each course beautifully.

We were seated outdoors, so I can’t speak much to the restaurant’s interior ambience, but the overall setting of the winery was stunning. Service was excellent throughout, and we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary wine — a lovely touch.

Overall, a great experience and well worth the visit. Giving it 4 stars to food mainly because the mains could have had more variety with base, but otherwise a...

3.5 / 5 Brown Brothers was the last spot for wine-tasting before our journey came to an end.

This is a brand name most Melbornians and many Australians would be familiar with because of some amazing wine they produce but the restaurant restaurant's menu looked extreme promising so we decided to have a meal here.

Few dishes that we ordered were a hit such as the Clams, Broccolini, Emu Pastrami and Lamb Neck. They were simply fantastic.

Fewer one's were a miss.especially.the.chicken breast which was dry and flavorless, but what really disappointed us was the dessert. Looked fancy but failed to impress us....Only if the flavors were as unusual as the name.

What got them 0.5 extra is the attendant whose name we unfortunately forgot. He was quite warm, hospitable and recommended some good wines that went so well with our food. It was a Sunday afternoon, and we were seated on a table from where we could easily look to a counter in the indoor section where the entrance to the kitchen is....In case this would be helpful to locate the attendant (a slight resemblance to Ed Sheeran minus the...

Our visit to the Brown Brothers restaurant was an absolute pleasure. Opting for the set menu, my wife and I were treated to a culinary journey that left us thoroughly satisfied. The ambience was enhanced by our seating arrangement in a quiet corner, nestled against a wine barrel, adding a touch of rustic charm to the experience.

Each course we indulged in was a testament to the unique flavors and creativity of Brown Brothers. Each of the dishes was crafted with precision and delivered a delightful explosion of flavors. The attention to detail and the distinct touch of the restaurant made the entire meal a memorable one.

What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service provided by the young and genuine staff. Their positive spirit and warm interactions made us feel right at home, enhancing the overall dining experience. The combination of delectable food, charming atmosphere, and outstanding service made our visit to the Brown Brothers restaurant an unforgettable one. Highly recommended for those seeking an exceptional culinary journey in a...
