Milawa Bakery have the rudest staff, and owner,, as weâve ever experienced in all our lives. They hate tourists even though their profit comes from the tourists who passs through. To all caravanners, please think twice about going to Milawa Bakery and donât support them as they have so hurt travellers in the last few weeks. Not a nice place at all!
Iâve tried to respond to your comment, so added here. On that day we were trying to tell you that we had been travelling in country Victoria for over 4 months and that we hadnât been to Melbourne for many months. Your rude staff wouldnât even let me finish explaining that the DHHS (COVID hotline) had advised us to show a signed and certified Stat Dec, which the Police had signed in Echuca, but your staff were not interested. So yes, we had been following State Govt health rules!! How dare Milawa Bakery treat people like you did, and no wonder I pushed back against your appalling behavior. And yes, I did report you to the DHHS who in turn advised the Melbourne Police who have a record of what happened. I stand by what I said in my Review, that Milawa Bakery had no right to speak to us like you did, and caravanners, and indeed travellers from WMelbourne now borders re-open, not bother to visit your...
Read moreMilawa Bakery used to be our favourite bakery to go to, we went one Sunday with hair in the chicken and avo focaccia which has always been my go to focaccia, the focaccia itself had much less filling then previously and the focaccia bread has changed and now taste like raw dough, we went the following weekend as we didnât want to give up hope that our favourite bakery was changing, we ordered three ham and cheese toasted Sandwiches as they are rather small toasties, which on one side werenât toasted, and had hair melted into the cheese, one staff member was lovely about it and another short blonde one decided to pull faces and be offended, given the hair colour it wasnât her hair in our food and she never served us, the food is below poor, but the coffee was great and the lady who made our coffees was super lovely and did offer us a refund which we didnât accept as after two weekends in a row, we decided the Milawa Bakery wasnât going to be our go to anymore. We do hope that bakery improves in the very near future and more hygiene practices are put in place, like wearing gloves when out the back when customers...
Read moreIt is usually a brides last thought for organising on her wedding day, food while getting ready! Luckily, I contacted Gemma at Milawa Bakery Cafe and ordered a breakfast platter, sandwich platters and coffees for the day of my wedding - very last minute mind you...
From the moment I called the Bakery and spoke to Gemma she was absolutely beautiful to deal with, nothing was a problem at all and even though I was going to organise collection of our platters she refused and delivered everything to us to ease the stress on my wedding day. All the food that was supplied was so fresh and delicious, and the coffee is amazing! We had a huge range of food from croissants, muffins, slices, fresh fruit, yogurt, and all kinds of sandwich fillings.
Gemma so kindly included a goody bag for me and a handwritten note wishing us well for our wedding day. There are not many places that would go so above and beyond for their customers, but this is one place that does.
I cannot recommend Gemma and team at Milawa Bakery Cafe highly enough, and we will be sure to visit every time we are back in stunning Milawa.
Thanks...
