Darley’s Bakehouse is, without question, a most distinguished establishment, deserving of the highest commendation. The quality of its meat pies alone warrants the journey from Melbourne, for they are crafted with uncommon excellence. The pastry is of delicate flakiness, and the fillings, both hearty and flavoursome, speak to the skill of those who prepare them. I partook of the Steak, Bacon and Cheese pie, as well as the Plain, and found each to be of the finest order.

Equally worthy of praise is the service, conducted with courtesy and attentiveness by the two ladies in attendance, whose gracious manner lent further charm to the occasion.
