For the restaurant that states to be tandoori it does not have a tandoor. While going to the bathroom I saw staff in the kitchen were using costco frozen samosas to serve to customers for a very high price. That just plain wrong. The food was below average and cheese naan was one of the worse I had it was a cheese roti with barely some proper cheese in it and tasted sour like the dough was old or stale. The male waiter who was serving us was sweet and very efficient but a woman from kitchen which I assume was the owner was continuously yelling from the kitchen for everything he was doing. It just ruins the entire atmosphere and gives you anxiety sitting in a place where staff is yelling from one corner to another corner of the restaurant. Our chicken jalfrezi was nothing what we imagined and couldn’t even finish it. We will definitely not be returning because tasteless food is one thing but stressing out the entire restaurant with constant yelling by the owner is another thing which...
Read moreI visited Divas Tandoori Restaurant in Korumburra while traveling back to Melbourne. Despite its supposedly high rating of 4.6, my experience left much to be desired. I was thoroughly disappointed with both the food and service. To start, our order of paneer tikka masala was carelessly substituted with palak paneer without any prior explanation. This lack of attention to customer preferences was disheartening. As for the other dishes – lamb curry, chicken tikka masala, masala kulcha, and Kashmiri biryani – they all fell short in taste, lacking the rich flavors I expected from authentic Indian cuisine. Adding insult to injury, the portion sizes were miserly, especially considering the exorbitant prices. Paying $23 for a curry that lacked any semblance of flavor was simply unacceptable. Overall, my experience at Divas Tandoori Restaurant was deeply disappointing, and I cannot in good conscience recommend it to anyone seeking a satisfying Indian...
Read moreWe aren’t locals and got the menu from our Airbnb. We were a bit hesitant because who would think a country town would have GOOD Indian food. It was quiet when arrived which always is a bit of a worry but I think we were just early because it got busier and lots of take always. The female owner was lovely, friendly and attentive. The place is, I guess, as expected. Don’t expect anything fancy looking and the toilets were as old as the building and rather dated BUT it was one of best Indian meals we’ve had! The meat was melt in your mouth, the naan tasty and all round really delicious. Prices are a little higher but worth it. Only downside is there are only 2 front of house staff who were hard to grab but given how busy it is, is fair enough. Definitely give this place a try as long as you can leave your city pretentious attitude at the door. Oh and 100% not accessible for our non walking folk. Well done Diva - I can see why the...
