Very disappointing rude staff attitude towards motorcycle riders. Sign out front said open at 9am. Was dripping wet from Victorian weather and looking for a quick service of Bacon and Egg roll and hot beverage to warm up. Had just travelled on ferry from Tasmania and was heading back to Sydney. Walked in. Took off helmet and gloves and placed on table nearest to counter. Back pack on floor near table, jacket on back of chair getting ready to approach counter and order. (Was social distancing) About 30 seconds had passed since walking in. Before I had a chance to step forward and order the lady behind the counter asked me If I had a booking. Which confused me greatly, I was looking for fast take away service. Ideally consumed inside the shop as It wasn't feasible to eat outside in the rain! I was then informed they were fully booked and offering take away only. The table where I had placed my wet items was booked for 10am. It was now 9.10 I collected myself and suggested if they could take my order quickly, cook quickly, deliver quickly , I could be on my way in 20 minutes. The reply was "No, I've just taken an order for 8" with the added disclaimer "I'm not trying to be difficult". My response was (Picking up my belongings) "Lady that's exactly what your being." 10 minutes up the road got much better service and zero attitude from Mc Donald's of all places. The attitude of the Staff towards me, a cold wet hungry motorcyclist was deplorable. Why have a sandwich board on the street enticing customers inside, If you are fully booked and un able to service walk in customers? If you deem motorcyclist customers as un desirable for you business put up a sign and we'll go somewhere that wants our money. It's an economic fact that motorcycle tourism is good for small business as we carry nothing and buy 3 meals a day.
It is my opinion that I was a victim of discrimination on this occasion by the counter workers in this business. They showed no empathy or compassion for my situation and don't deserve to be frequented by other...
Read moreWe drove through this town and decided to have a coffee here at about 3pm. We walked in and weren’t sure to sit ourselves down or if someone will show us to our table. The cafe wasnt even busy during this time as they were about to close in an hour... We ordered 1 soup, a beef pie, a ham and cheese toastie and 2 lattes and 2 baby chinos…. All which someone cost $55… The pies were dry and came with a curry-like sauce. The lady at the counter also said that they only had 1 pumpkin soup left and just the food that was displayed in their front counter. We found this quite disappointing as there was still an hour before closing time. The coffee that they served us was also average tasting coffee. They barely even put a heart at the too of our lattes.
The workers also weren’t very welcoming and just seemed like they wanted to close for the day. Most likely wont be back here when driving...
Read moreStopped here by sheer chance, and so glad that I did. It was literally the first place that you could pull into, across the from the park on the main road. (If you're coming from Melbourne, it's a right at the lights and then a right again, into the side street for all the shops, and then you stop and park almost immediately.) Super friendly staff, lovely food and a great range of yummy vegan options! The vegan cauliflower pie was probably the best vegan pie the kids and I have had, and we frequent Mountain High Pies in Wentworth Falls NSW for their vegan pies, but we reckon that the one here is better. Pity it's so far from home for us! Coffee was decent and there was plenty of outdoor seating in an eclectic setting. Prices were good too. This place seems very popular for the locals, which always says something about the place! Definitely worth a stop if you're...
