Always a must stop for a bite to eat when travelling through Gippsland. Have visited several times in recent months and have always left satisfied. Decent size sausage rolls, pies and pasties etc and lots of yummy sweet desert items too. Very reasonably priced too, far better than my local bakery in Melbourne. Would love to see some more local drinks stocked too.

Stopped for a delightful Devonshire Tea on our way home from a day trip to Thomson Dam. Tea was hot and strong, with milk served in cute little milk churn jugs. Scones were warm, with just the right outside crunch and fluffy centre. Delectable local raspberry jam and double cream accompanied the scones. Best Devonshire we've had for ages. Highly recommended.

Good bakery with some really nice pies. Try the chunky steak pie, very chunky indeed. You can sit out side on chairs provided or the grassy area across the service lane car park on public park benches and tables. Public toilets also availabke near by. Note pretty popular so it can be busy at times.

CHECK THE PRICE OF THE ITEMS BEFORE YOU PAY !! There’s a woman working there who will rip you off in broad daylight Who knows if the other staff do the same I ordered a meat pie and a small desert She charged me $15.50 I had tapped and paid I then asked for a receipt and she asked if I meant a tax invoice I said no, I want a receipt listing the items I’d bought and how much they were She then hid the Eftpos machine and said it had stopped working I asked her how much is the pie? $5 How much is the mini dessert? $5 I said, you charged me $15.50 She looked guilty as hell but then said I must have bought a drink - looks over to the counter (I look over too and it’s completely empty) After a hassle she gives me $5 cash out of the till Most people are probably too busy or embarrassed to double check what they are being charged but this was clearly common practice for this staff member Description; woman - medium...

I was excited to go to Yarragon bakery for a salad roll for my lunch today. I ordered a ham cheese and salad roll with butter salt and pepper. A young girl served me. I was disgusted to see her put a blob of margarine in the centre of each side of the roll. If someone says they want butter, they want their roll buttered properly on both sides. She then progressed to put 2 pieces of ham on top of each other, a piece of tomato, a piece of beetroot, 2 slithers of onion and a few strands of lettuce. All in a pyramid shape. So in the end it was 1.5cm thick in the middle and the bread was touching itself around the outside. She then charged me $9 for the privilege of such a deplorable salad roll. Next time I'll wait for someone else...

Travelling through from interstate stopped In for a curry pie and vanilla slice. The girl gave me the wrong slice. I asked if it could be swapped over and was told no because I had left the store. The store was busy i grabbed items and sat on the bench seating facing the highway and didn't think to check the food purchased while in store. For the sake of a few bucks I don't see why the slice couldn't have been changed over as I only had looked in the bag as soon as i noticed i walked straight in to inform staff. Check your food before you leave and if the shops busy and staff are yelling "next please" dont feel intimidated to rush even though you haven't even had time to put your change...
