George's Bakehouse Huntly — Restaurant in Victoria

I regularly visit this bakery however no more, I usually arrive at lunchtime 12pm in search of a pastie, often no pasties in sight, while waiting in line l regularly observe multiple flies in the cold deli area flying around landing all over the food, not a good look from my side of the counter, you inform staff but they appear disinterested, l was even informed that there was not much they could do about it, guess what, yes you can, get them out when a customer takes the time to let you know, every pendant light above the deli, pie and counter area is full of built dust from the shades all the way up to the roof, not a good look, here’s some advice, clean them, it makes me wonder if the lights are full of dust and the staff don’t care about the flies then what is the...

I have given a 5 star review for Georges Huntly a couple of years previously, but unfortunately this time it’s only a 3 star. I still love the Steak, Cheese and Bacon and the Honey Soy Chicken pies, plus the Beesting, Vanilla Slice and Jelly Slice, but a friend bought us a family Potato Pie yesterday, and disappointingly, this what it looked like inside. The bakery is a great friendly family place to grab a bite, the staff are always happy and professional and we enjoy visiting regularly, the food always looks, smells and taste great and the only thing I can say as a negative is, there is sometimes an inconsistency with the custard tarts, sometimes they are gooey and to die delicious for and sometimes they are firm and dense. and everyone's pallet is different and some people may like them firm, but for me if i can poke it and my finger bounces off clean its to dense for me, but that is just the smallest...
