Gloria Jean's Ballarat — Restaurant in Victoria

I recently stopped by Gloria Jean’s at Central Square in Ballarat and treated myself to a white chocolate mocha—and wow, it did not disappoint. The drink was smooth, rich, and perfectly sweet without being overpowering. The white chocolate flavor blended beautifully with the coffee, making it a cozy, indulgent pick-me-up.

The food was equally impressive—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. But what really made the experience stand out was the staff and the atmosphere. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the space had a warm, relaxed vibe that made it the perfect spot to unwind.

Highly recommend if you’re in the area—whether you’re after a great coffee, a bite to eat, or just a chill place to sit...

I went in to redeem by birthday coffee/cold drink that I’ve been awarded via your rewards programme. The guy taking my order refused to use my reward and said the system has changed and he can’t issue it to me. Then he finally scanned my barcode and allowed my to order my drink. I then ordered a Tim Tam chiller and what I received vs what I was meant to revive was different. No cream or anything, I will attach photo. I know from working with people we all have our off days but you still need to put a smile on your face and be pleasant. I am so upset over this incident and will not return to this gloria jeans...

Not impressed at all. Staff were not friendly, had sour faces. Out of 11 tables, 7 were dirty with the rements of past costomers, it was 2.30pm and ONLY 3 costomers in the shop, and the staff put standind around having 'a laugh' over cleaning the tables. Coffee was made by a young lady whilst she was stuffing her face with food, and the result was a cold coffee that resembles the brown piss that one expects from a Starbucks. And top it off, the donut was stale. Wouldn't waste my time, and more importantly my hard earned money in this place again. If I could give them a fraction of one star...
