Grovedale Thai — Restaurant in Victoria

I felt like supporting a local restaurant tonight so I delighted my taste buds to Grovedale Thai. Upon entering, I was made welcomed by Jordan with a big smile who welcomed me. I had ordered a Seafood dish and Pad see ew. Once I got home from the restaurant, I begun to eat my Seafood and then lastly started to eat my Pad see ew. I spotted a hair in my dish and immediately rang the shop. They didn't hesitate and welcomed me to return again shortly after with a new one prepared. Indie gave me a refund for the amount and deeply apologized. I've then gone back home to try and let this not spoil my evening. I started eating and felt a long string in my mouth, wondering if it was a bean shoot, or whether I was being paranoid. I spat it out and again, was another hair. Terrible service!! Would not recommend. We patiently waited over an hour for takeaway, and when we did receive it we got home to find there was one main dish missing. I understand that sometimes there are mistakes made and I would give this business the benefit of the doubt but it was the nasty attitude and response they gave my wife when she called to let them know that is completely unacceptable. No refund for the missing dish was offered instead they questioned my wife and virtually accused us of lying. The way you treat your customers is everything to a successful business and unfortunately Grovedale Thai do not care. The restaurant was like ice block and I had to ask for some heating to be put on . There was 4 of us and our meals all came out over 15 minutes but not a full order for any of us so we couldn’t eat our meals like normal . It took 5 mins to warm a plate up in a microwave. I observed a take away order take 30 mins from receiving 1st part of their order .. 30 mins until the rest of his order.
