We absolutely LOVE Sandstone Cafe, Cindy and the team are amazing, the food is always superb and the drinks have never disappointed!

After many delicious breakfasts and brunches over the last 3 years I reached out to Cindy to see if we could have our wedding reception with them. Cindy was quick to organise a meeting with my husband and I, she gave us guidance on what courses we could have, what would suit the season and was delightful to work with.

We had roaming canapés, a sit down dinner and a dessert buffet with a tab on the bar for everyone, with a specialty cocktail for the night. Cindy also offered to decorate and set up the layout for the cafe. I wasn't looking for elaborate or full linen table setups as we had a more relaxed wedding and Cindy absolutely nailed the layout and decorations - the cafe was gorgeous and it was great to not have any stress about getting the reception venue ready!

The pricing for venue, bar tab and meals was excellent and service on the night was amazing, we had many laughs, a good dance and got so many compliments on the venue and food selection for our reception. Every time we have relatives down now they ask if we can go to...

What a delightful cafe, with bright cute decor and an array of pretty cups and saucers. Meals; Tuesday is Parmi night, so…..Hubby had Parmi w/chips and I had gluten-free Chicken schnitzel w/chips and salad (one of the best salads I’ve had for a long time) and the meals are huge! I was also happily relieved to see the GF crumbs were made from bread, not rice crumbs like a lot of places. Very tasty indeed. A loud shoutout to the staff, they were super friendly, attentive and alert from the time we arrived until we left….Wonderful table service. It was also nice at the end of the meal to be asked if we would like to order tea/coffee or dessert. They also have a delicious looking High Tea menu. Note: Celiacs and Intolerant GF people there’s quite a variety of GF meals on the menu 👌🏻 They are open everyday, and from Tuesday to Saturday they are open until 10pm for dinner, or a late night coffee and snack.

Met some friends there on Friday for lunch and didn’t have a booking. There were spare tables so that wasn’t a problem. As I only had 30 minutes for lunch, we decided it would be best to just have coffee and cake. Sadly the waitress said we couldn’t sit at the table if we were just having coffee and cake. Her reasoning was that if someone walked in for lunch they wouldn’t have the table available. I understand the principle here but we were only going to be there for 30 mins max …. (20 mins by this time). So we were made to sit outside in the cold. If I had more time I would have left and had my coffee elsewhere. To be honest I was quite appalled at this treatment ( I have owned cafes for over 10 years and would never treat anyone this way).
