Hungry Jack's Burgers Ballarat — Restaurant in Victoria

The family and I always eat there and everything turns out perfectly. Staff are just wonderful, the atmosphere is welcoming and their slogan couldn't be more than true. We have to order in large amounts, and they never get anything mixed up or forgotten (though they used to - they've definitely improved!). My favourite fast food place from tons of experience. A definite recommend.

However, tonight we ordered some sundaes and their mixture (including fudges) were very watery, to the point where most of the flavour was lost and it just tasted like ice with a fingertip of ice-cream on top. It is also staying extremely cold for an unusually long amount of time. This is the first time this has ever happened, and I'm wondering if it's because the mixtures were rushed, or it was just an accident. When I first looked at it, I could instantly tell it was off - you could see the pattern of the nozzle clearly, and how it fell into the cup. Being a regular customer it was highly unnatural, as it usually looks smooth and spread out. The nuggets were also a little flavourless, which I'm assuming had the same reasons as the icecreams.

Nonetheless, these would only be temporary mistakes, and is not a turnoff in any way, hence the 5 stars. I hope it gets...

Yet another average experience at Hungry Jacks Bakery Hill. I’ve got to think that you simply don’t train your staff very well, because as yet I’m yet to have a good experience through the drive through. Today’s Experience: No polite greeting, just what can I get you? Fine, ordered 3 cheeseburger Super Stunner Meals with Coke. Instantly the reply was “Cheeseburger meal, yep, coke as the drink, anything else?” Which we corrected, “No, 3 Cheeseburger Super Stunner Meals with Coke” Which was responded too “Okay, Coke as the drink? What size meal?” Which we said Medium. “Okay, drive through” no sorry, no nothing, we get to the window, an eftpos machine is shoved in the window, no greeting, and it’s $10 or so, one meal not 3. We correct her again, we wanted 3 meals, not one. We get this look like it’s our fault, again no apology, she fixes it and thrusts the eftpos machine into the window again. I’ve got to say this has to be the rudest Hungry Jacks I’ve ever been too by far, no one seems to be trained very well, they don’t listen and simply DO NOT CARE. It is terrible and who ever runs this store should really be ashamed (and should maybe take a trip through their our drive through to see what it’s...

I’d read the poor reviews and thought twice before coming in, but was pleasantly surprised as soon as I walked through the door. The place was clean, well-kept, and had a nice feel to it. Looking into the kitchen, I noticed most of the staff were teenagers with two managers overseeing. What stood out to me was how carefully one of them was wrapping a burger—something I’d been dreading would be sloppy or rushed.

I ordered a cheeseburger and large fries. The fries were only half-filled at first, but when I mentioned it to a manager, they happily topped up another for me without any fuss. That said, the portion size of the large fries felt more like what I’d expect from a medium. I see this as a Hungry Jack’s issue rather than anything to do with the staff or management here.

The food itself was fresh, neatly put together, and tasted great. Overall, I left pleasantly surprised and can confidently say I’ll be back. I know fast-food experiences can vary depending on who’s on shift, but today’s visit really restored my belief that these places can still feel like a...
