Knead it Pizza — Restaurant in Victoria

The food is great but the service is terrible.

We've been here twice on our way through Yea. The first time we were told that they were out of pizza, so we ordered burgers. We were told it would take 30 minutes as they were busy, but we were actually waiting nearly 60 minutes with not so much as a sorry for the wait. While we were waiting other people were able to order pizzas and their food was ready before our burgers.

On the second occasion, we tried to order in advance by phone but it wasn't working. We thought we would get the burgers again, only be told that they were out of burgers. We got a large takeaway pizza to share between two and as it was a cold night we asked if we could sit at a table inside while we waited and the girl taking our order said no problem as it was nearing closing time and they were very quiet (only one table of other customers in the store).

But there was a problem. This sent the kitchen into a confused frenzy thinking we hadn't ordered, and about 20 minutes later we were presented with pizza on a tray and some plates. We were rudely told that "next time" if we wanted to dine in we had to order a small pizza each (at a considerably higher cost). We explained that we wanted to take away but the manager wouldn't listen and we ended up having to eat in store.

I really want to like this place because the food is the best takeaway in town, but with such terrible service and the constant question of if they'll have food in a town with not many other options late at night I'll think twice before returning for...

Ordered chicken gyros without onion as It makes me unwell (added chips for $1), garlic focaccia and chips with aioli. Young woman taking orders took a good while trying to find items on the iPad. She went out of her way to ask if we wanted the herb focaccia to which we said yes and she still failed to add it to the order, we instead got extra chips that weren’t eaten. After a 30mins wait I went in to ask if our order was ready and turns out it had been sitting there for goodness knows how long and when I said the focaccia was missing the young man blankly looked at me until I said to forget it. When I got back to the car I realised we didn’t have the aioli, the chicken had onion in it and we didn’t get cutlery/ napkins. At least 3 people went it to ask after their orders while we also waited. The lack of order number/ name system along with failure to read back orders is not on for a busy take away place.

Really tasty food. I didn’t realise how varied the menu was until we ordered. Beware when ordering though, the serving sizes are quite a bit bigger than our stomachs anticipated but we ended up taking a lovely amount home which was awesome😄 The drinks are very fancy, we ordered a lemon lime bitters and a couple iced mochas and all were very tasty and impressive looking and got wows when they hit the table. Super happy with the salad sizes, even the side salads are ginormous and all very tasty and fresh. The pizzas are absolutely flavourful and very professional. The service was great, very frequent and friendly, and the food came out very quick. Great place for the family and anyone looking to be...
