It has been 15 years since I've had Lazy Moe's and on this occasion, we enjoyed it more than I last remembered it. Great to see the extensive menu with great value pricing still exists. Serving sizes were always very generous, I guess that's what they're known for. Many moons ago, this chain in Melbourne started to slip in food quality. Our recent family dinner here was exactly what we wanted. Fuss-free basic options to satisfy the appetite after a big day of swimming. We shared the garlic cheesy bread (11/10 pillowly soft cheese goodness), kids calamari & chips (👍), spag bolognese, lamb kofta with pita + salad + chips (👍👍) and an extra basket of chips (we were hungry and could've gone without this one). Add 2 x soft drink & 1 apple juice and the entire meal was just over $90. We thoroughly enjoyed everything! The restaurant itself was very spacious and clean with different seating options available (I.e. outdoor). The service was a bit clunky & could've been faster but when you eventually get their attention, they're happy to bring you what you need. Will happily come back for another family meal when we are in the area.

We went here for a breakfast. Welcome wise it was easy and the young girl was friendly and on point with her service. The venue is clean, spacious and if you like sport or captioned news then you’ll like it particularly if you seek the American diner feel. We ordered the french toast, pancakes, hollandaise egg and ham, and the salmon eggs with tomato (can’t remember the name) Unfortunately my meal was cold but the flavour was there and most diners would probably have said, “hey this is cold”. Overall the place was spacious and the staff were good (although junior). $7-8 for an ice tea is a little overpriced considering the kids meals are cheap but clearly that’s because you get one piece of toast for $5.90 and pancakes that resemble two small pikelets. Personally I don’t think we will be back but I can see where they are going with this given the story on the history of the place. Not awful but not five star either. Thanks to the staff though as they were great.

I Absolutely LOVE Lazy Moe's Ballarat. I have been visiting this particular Moe's for more than 10 years evertime I stay in Ballarat. I Love the concept of this restaurant and it's quirky style and decor. I Love the atmosphere focused on family, friends and people looking for a fun experience in dining. I love the menu packed with variety and choice for all tastes. The generous portions are always guaranteed to fill you with a meal you will never forget. The staff usually bubbly a little quiet this time but efficient and friendly. Moe's is always clean in the restaurant and the amenities. There is also a function room available for private functions. I thoroughly recommend everyone visit Moe's at least once. I promise you will not be disappointed in price food or experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Restaurant was freezing cold so I had to eat with my denim jacket buttoned up. Forgot to bring my son's drink when they served our coffees. Coffees were horrible. Scalding hot. Almost unbearable to hold but given how freezing the restaurant was I used the scolding mug to warm my hands. I asked how many shots in a mug and was told two. I asked for a nice, strong skinny cappuccino and husband ordered the same. Didn't specifically ask for an extra shot but wanted waitress or barrista to make a good coffee. Was absolutely shocked to find out we were charged $7.20 each for a scalding hot, WEAK AS coffee in a mug!!! (By comparison the exquisite boutique Electric Tastes cafe only charges $6 for a mug and 70c for an extra shot!!! I know in a heartbeat where the better coffee is served and where I'd prefer to dine!) And son ordered a large Coke. It eventually came in an extremely large glass, FILLED with ice (and we all know what that means!) so there was harsh any post-mix in it. $8.90 can you believe???

So whilst the meals don't appear too overpriced they absolutely rip you off with beverage prices!

Meals were average. All warm, definitely not hot which means kitchen can't cook & serve the food quickly. Eggs Florentine (or Queen's eggs, whatever they call it) muffins, salmon & spinach cold. Eggs on top hot. Big breakfast - cold toast, cold supermarket sausage and hashbrown, cheap, runny baked beans looked like a bowl of tomato sauce because hardly any beans to be found. Hot poached eggs on top of cold toast. Canadian pancake with eggs & bacon - a very bad meal choice. Pancake was very thick and cake-like. Butter knob on top barely melted, why, because not hot! Insufficient maple syrup given the size & thickness of pancake. Fortunately I ordered the eggs on the side and a large serve of dry, rubbery (think airline style) scrambled eggs arrived No one bothered to ask how our meals were. Cashier did apologise for forgetting about our son's drink but that was it.

Do yourself a favour and avoid this place...

Where to start Arrived and was told they close in 45 min thats ok just need a quick meal. No service after 35min so go to counter every one just talking , mention you are closing can we order, came took order for 2 pamis, when we get them no cutlery serviettes salt peper. We went to eat the chicken and the knife would not cut it , pulled of a peice and could not chew it enough to swollow had to wrap in serviette and the peice's of chicken on the plates was the size of your palm and so thin i think the "cook" would get 3-4 slices off a fillet , it was expertly crumbed and sauce and cheese sitting on chips to look large. Told the waitress how tough and un edible it was she left to talk to boss, she came back and said she would give us free pancakes , what 20 cents of flour !!!! I said not paying, another male waiter comes out , cook and owner agree very tough we only have to pay for 1 meal . ??? So the owner approaches says we have to pay one meal and again comes the pancakes. I totally refused to pay telling him Im a retied cheff and my son was a waiter come cook at the stake resturant and you need to get a new cook if he cant even put up a peice of chicken. We payed for the 2...
