Ordered food for the same table in two separate orders one after the other. Friendâs food came, which was eaten while we were still waiting. Went to counter to enquirer where our order was & we were told itâs on its way. Once received, I got a stone cold ($31.00) steak sandwich. I immediately sent it back & was told that they can make another. I refused & asked for a refund.
I asked to speak to one of the owners & was given a story that the steak, once cooked is rested for 5 minutes on a timer before serving. As a chef, a thin piece of scotch filet (4-6mm) does not need to be rested. On top of this it was chopped into pieces. Asked to speak to the chef but was refused. I then tasted my daughters chips & was shocked on the amount of chicken salt on them. As a former restaurant & cafe owner I was disappointed in the food & the service. All I can say is â own your mistakesâ donât give your customers a story when you blatantly forgot about an order.
This place is a no go for me, not because of the cold steak sandwich but how the complaint was handled. By the way a steak sandwich is on two pieces of bread & not on a roll. Steak sandwichâs...

But my peers loved their Eggs Benedict, with the addition of mushrooms and extra bacon, they cleaned their plates.
The drinks we ordered, the mocha, hot chocolate and iced coffee were wonderfully presented.
For the little things that make the place better, the table water was cold and refreshing, the food fire was warm and comforting and the hanged local artwork was eye-catching.
For the little things that make the place slightly worse, other than the floorboards being a little loose where I was sitting with the majority of the traffic knocking it.
This place deserves to be proud with what they have accomplished in the small town of Noojee and I would love to keep trying out items...
Read moreI woke this morning wanting a little adventure. I opened my gold map and looked East to see if I could find a spot near Noogee. Feeling a tummy rubble I stopped for breakfast at Little Red Duck Cafe. To my suprise the cafe became a highlight of my morning. Smashed Avo with poached eggs on sourdough with fetta crumbs with a cafe latte. The plate was presented with a smile with all the queues of a Donna Hay inspired creation. Beautifully plated. The eggs were perfectly poached. Runny rich yokes sufficiently coating the baby spinach leaves. A lovely suprise. Cafe latte was great. Temperature right on, sweet Arabica, finishing with a hint of Robusta to the back of the tongue to finish. All round a great start to my day....
