Morwell Bowling Club — Restaurant in Victoria

Had lunch here yesterday...Very disappointing to say the least..I have been trying since last July to take my son to lunch for his 50th B/Day...I and 2 friends live in Melbourne, so with lockdowns, travels restrictions and what have you, 3 cancelled bookings we finally made it yesterday....We ordered Calamari rings, Caesar salad, Prawn and Scallop skewers and a RARE T-bone...After 25mins the meals came and the T-Bone was well cooked, my son said I can't eat this and they happily took it away and said we will replace it...The rest of us had nearly finished our meals and we asked where was the steak...Answer oh, it will be another 5 mins...We all finished and asked where was the steak, oh it will be here shortly...And we are talking about a RARE steak....At this stage my son said forget it I am have now lost my appetite and don't want to sit here eating on my own...Was then told it had already been deducted off the bill...????...Really think they forgot to replace it....The Calamari was overcooked and tough, the Caesar salad croutons were so hard they were inedible....It was not even very busy...The B/Day lunch was a total flop and the person it was for went without....Would have been better going to...

If there would be more stars , this venue definitely deserves them all. From the friendly staff to the mouthwatering food. I ordered salt and pepper calamari, they were absolutely perfect and even the chip were delicious. My granddaughter had snitzel and was also very impressed..what isn't often as she's a 7 year's old very fussy girl. She had a bun with butter and a good play at their playground. ( there's a separate toddler room too). The food came fast and hot.. After, my granddaughter had an ice-cream softserve made by herself 😆 ,1/2 chocolate and 1/2 vanilla with mini smarties, soure worms and other multiple sweets ( she couldn't made up her mind).. All in all I had a very impressed young lady bragging at home and I had to promise to gi again soon. What will be my pleasure 😋. Definitely recommend Morwell Bawling...

My wife and I walked in at 3.30pm wanted a drink and intended to come back for a meal. We are parked in our motorhome and wanted to be set in for the night. We ordered a drink and enquired about getting a meal. We were told “we are fully booked out but you may or may not get a walk-in” the young ladies behind the bar and the one seated across where far from helpful, I walked to the front counter where I asked again about a booking and this young lady who had a ponytail told me we have booking to 7 pm but can book you in then and she did, my wife and I where about to leave and take out business elsewhere had it not been for this young woman, so than you to her and Directors, please train your staff in...
