Service was very slow and the food was cold and soggy (we ended up taking one bite of the sausage roll and tossed it out). Couple of the staff members were also quite cold in manner. It seemed like such a chore for them to clean up 2 coffee cups, a small dessert plate and a single napkin left by the people before us. Also God forbid asking for tap water, otherwise you’ll be met with a condescending tone and an RBF to match. Admittedly I will award points for the good coffee and the decent cold pastry/desserts. The decor is nice and clearly thought through and the little table in the middle with a variety of local jams and packed desserts was a nice country touch. I ended up buying 3 jars of boysenberry jam. I see a lot of reviews here speaking extremely highly of this place but I would take that as a grain of salt to be honest. If you’re a city-slicker just passing though this town then you really don’t have much choice as their aren’t many other available options. Just cross your fingers and hope there are less than 3 customers in the store otherwise the young ladies running the floor might crumble under the “pressure”.

We have been through Meeniyan a number of times and there is always a crowd at Pandesal Bakery. We stopped in today and found out what the crowds already knew. The sandwiches and sliders we’re fresh and filling and the pies were on the money. Then there was the desserts - which no one should leave Meeniyan without trying! We had eclairs, a custard tart and an Opera, I have never had an Opera before - everyone needs to try this, it was awesome. If you are anywhere near Meeniyan do yourself a favour, call in for something to eat, and it must include an Opera dessert!

Best coffee & iced coffees in Meeniyan we thought, my cappuccino was so fluffy……we went to 4 different cafes over 5 days, their coffee was not only the best but was also cheaper . They were by far the busiest of all the others . Their bread (baguette)is sooo yummy $5 a stick …..the rolls & cakes look so delicious ( very tempting) Know where I will be going next time in Meeniyan

Absolutely UNREASONABLE wait times for coffee . I waited 20mins, and when I respectfully approached the barista to mention that this was a bit too long, she scoffed at me, saying, “We’re busy, love.” I come here weekly and while I understand they are busy, that’s not the actual issue. Anyone observing this barista, believe me you’ll have plenty of time to do so, will notice she produces coffees at a rate of about 1 every 3.5 minutes. In running a business, it’s crucial to place people based on their strengths & abilities. It’s also vital to assess reviews and feedback. When you’re consistently told that your service is far too slow, it’s important to make some adjustments. Don’t take your patrons for granted, and whatever you do, please don’t scoff at them when they express disappointment over a 20-minute wait for coffee. Give one of the younger staff members, who brings more vigor & enthusiasm a chance at the coffee machine. It’s time to step away and let someone else take...

Coffee was nice. While others I was with enjoyed their food, my raspberry mousse croissant was quite disappointing. Cold and the mousse filling was sickly sweet, did not seem fresh from the day. We arrived around 3pm and they kept mentioning their closing hours which did not make our visit feel very welcoming considering some of us are not locals and have travelled interstate.

The visual layout was nice, although the seating was unfortunately quite uncomfortable. The main reason I am giving this place only 2 stars is because I was referred to as "girl" by one of the staff trying to grab my attention when I was trying to figure out how to leave as they had locked the doors. I can't stress how insulting this is considering I am a 30 year old woman. While I may look younger than I am, there is never any reason a customer should be referred...
