Pretty Sally bakery — Restaurant in Victoria

Two stars for Pretty Sally Bakehouse only because the food was excellent. The low rating entirely due to the appalling attitude of the waiting staff. Cold and indifferent upon arriving and when water was requested, instructed very matter-of-factly to get it myself. This is perfectly acceptable, except when inspecting the glassware, I found every several glasses to be smeared fingerprints, lip impressions, goo and gunk. I asked for two clean glasses, but after some wait and another enquiry about glasses, I was told that “they are putting them in the dish washer for you now, won’t be long”. Even after this, the waitress bought two empty glasses to our table. After making me run around their restaurant try to get water, while my breakfast was going cold, it seemed too much trouble for her to bring us two full glasses. The restaurant was not packed to the rafters with diners. This particular staff member seemed more intent on getting back to her table clearing than to serve her customers. So off I go again to fill my water and thought while I was there, I’d inspect the rest of the glassware. All of it was filthy. Every single glass I picked up. I bought this to the attention of the staff once again and was met with absolute contempt from the same grumpy waitress. She appeared annoyed that I was bothering her. She flippantly suggested that a child may have spilled something on the filthy glass I was showing her. When I challenged her to come with me to look at them all, she angrily declined and said that she would take care of it. To bring a perfect end to the experience, she stormed about bringing the glassware to the dishwasher and in full view everyone, grumbled to her colleagues about how much of a pain in the ass I was. So be warned fellow patrons of this establishment, check the glassware at the self serve water stand because you can count on the wait staff not giving a flying toss about it’s hygiene standards. It’s a shame that all the hard work of the chefs, management and others who work there, is bought undone by a waitress that cares so little about the job she is employed to do. Times are tough in the restaurant business. There are many alternatives available to paying customers and service of this standard is not conducive to ensuring customers are...

Came to Pretty Sally's, place was busy so we got seated outside. The guy who seated us took our coffee orders, then a waitress brought our coffees out and told us that someone is coming to take our meal orders. Took them 15 mins to get our meal orders taken and only happened when i went inside to ask. Waitress came and took our order', didn't repeat the order back to us. Only my dish came out, went inside again to check and they didn't put in my partner's order even though it was the first one i ordered. We had three people waiting on our table, 1.the guy who showed us to the table, 2.the waitress who brought our coffees, 3. The waitress who took our meal orders and after all this, still got it wrong. Went to pay for the lunch, staff member at the register asked how everything was and i explained to her what happened. It was very nice of her to take $10 off the bill of which i didn't expect. It is a very popular place with very good food but shouldn't take their eye off...

I have been living in Wallan for 3 years and dropped into Pretty Sally Bakehouse with a friend for the first time.

We were both instantly impressed with the whole place full and only about 2 tables left. We were lucky to get a table and once seated, we ordered our meals from the extensive range on the menu which we were both very impressed with.

The meals arrived and we were both very impressed! They were large meals which were very much value for money. We also ordered coffee's afterwards which were done perfectly! The staff were also very attentive.

We stayed until closing and even then were not asked to leave, we knew it was closing time and were the last people left. So we got up in our own time, paid and left.

If you either live in Wallan or are simply passing through, then I definately recommend giving Pretty Sally's Bakehouse a go! I will 100% be...
