Rio Bravo Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Victoria

I've been here a number of times, and the food is usually decent (hint: it's better when the owner is on shift!), however for the first time ever I ordered a "family" sized pizza, along with a large pizza.

I opened the box at the counter, and the so-called family sized pizza was barely larger than the large! I asked the guy on shift if the order was correct, to which he said, "Oh, yeah... they're not much bigger than the large..."

When I got home, I measured the diameter of both pizzas, and the large was 29.5cm, whilst the "family" was a mere 30.5cm! ...

So riddle me this: WHY did I have to pay an extra $6 dollars for a "family" pizza, when I could've saved that money and just bought another large pizza?!!!

It was that long ago when family pizza's were at least 35 to 40 centimetres in diameter! So this is a rip-off AND false...

Rio Bravo has a very good range of pizza and pasta selections and offer 3 pizza base thicknesses. They also have additional options such as burgers, souvlakis, schnitzels, wedges and fries. Their chocolate mousse is a decent size and packed in a sturdy container so saving it in the fridge for another day due to over indulgence is an easy choice! They are solely a takeaway store so no eat in option is available and a short walk may be required as there is limited parking in front of the store, but being located on a roundabout makes finding them easy. In summary I see Rio Bravo as an easy choice for the family take away meal. They have plenty of variety to choose from and budget...

Decided to try this place out. They looked closed at first but glad we went in. Lovely service and food was pretty good, surprisingly. We ordered the Veggie Pack which was delicious. A bit too many peas for my liking but still yummy. My boyfriend got the burger with The Lot and we got a large chips with cheese and gravy and a dessert pizza with Nutella and strawberries. The base of the pizza was disappointingly thin but the flavour was honestly really good. Only waited 15 minutes and by the time we got back from the supermarket it was ready.
