The Cave Wood Fired Pizza — Restaurant in Victoria

I wanted to write a balanced review for this place as I felt the five star and one star split are not helpful. We Ordered take out, from a great selection of pizzas. The site said an hour for pick up, we arrived 10 minutes early but it was already out and a bit cool (Saturday night understandable times hard to manage). The flavours were good capricossa and veg, garlic bread, the base was really tasty. What’s stopping this being 5 stars is it was a little dry. I note the one star reviews are completely unfair to the clearly friendly hard working staff but their point about it maybe needing more sauce are valid and easy fix to otherwise high quality pizza. I do recommend this place as despite two minor criticisms it was a very enjoyable dinner. The capricossa was our favourite, highly recommend, simple and delicious. I realised I underestimated this place with each consecutive bite of my pizza. An unpretentious establishment, run (importantly) by people who care. A genuine neighbourhood pizza shop that caters for kids, couples, groups and/or families. We had a round of drinks whilst we waited on the premises for our takeaway pizzas which didn't take long at all even on a Friday night.
