Absolutely incredible restaurant! This review is based on a lunch time visit. Service: The service by the waitress was very prompt, professional and friendly and the Chef also would come out to check that everyone was enjoying their food which is so rare these days. It shows that this business really prides in their service and food they deliver. Food: very tasty and authentic morrocan flavours. The tagine dishes were so tender and mouthwatering. One is chicken and it’s on the savoury flavours annd the other is slow cooked lamb which is more sweet flavours - prunes, almonds, cinnamon. Omg it was to die for. You have to try both. Eating straight out of the tagine was so amazing as part of the experience. Our maze platter was also very delicious. Also everything was very well presented. Drink: I had the morrocan mojito and it was so refreshing, if you love sweet and spritzy it’s a very refreshing drink with lemon, rose water and mint. They also serve morrocan tea, which I would’ve love to try but I was so full. I had never had morrocan food before and I’m so glad we came, the flavours and style of cooking is so unique and delicious. Highly recommend a visit here to try authentic morrocan food and excellent service. Even if you have never tried morrocan food, do yourself a favour and go, you won’t be disappointed!

Back in October 2024, I had lunch at Al Maghrib with my colleague. It was a lunch that went beyond a meal to become a cultural experience full of warmth, flavour, and heart. We tried the chicken & lemon tagine and the Moroccan lamb with prunes. The lamb was incredibly tender, with crunchy almonds balancing the sweet prunes, while the fragrant, citrus-infused chicken tagine, complemented by salty olives created a flavourful feast. The freshly baked flatbread was warm, soft and ideal for soaking up every last drop of the richly spiced sauces from the tagine. To finish, the traditional Moroccan mint tea was a standout moment. We were captivated as we watched the owner prepare and pour the tea with a sense of ceremony and pride. The tea, mint and sugar were perfectly balanced, and was a gentle, refreshing comfort after the hearty meal. What truly elevated the experience was the heartfelt hospitality. The owner Mustapha radiated genuine warmth and took clear joy in sharing his culture. We love his beautiful selection of postcards (rather than business cards) that each reveal a unique glimpse of Morocco. Al Maghrib is more than a restaurant… it's a celebration of Morocco, full of generosity, soul, and unforgettable food & tea.

A Delightful Moroccan Experience in Wagga Wagga I recently discovered a charming Moroccan restaurant in Wagga Wagga that truly deserves a shout-out! It's clear that this place is popular, as they require bookings in advance—food is prepared fresh once reservations are confirmed. Luckily, I had a stroke of luck and managed to walk in on a busy evening. To my delight, they were able to serve me a delicious lamb dish that was simply exquisite. The hospitality at the restaurant was nothing short of outstanding. The staff made me feel right at home, enhancing the overall dining experience. The flavors of the food were rich and authentic, and I could taste the passion that went into every dish. One suggestion I have for the restaurant is to incorporate a bit more Moroccan decor and perhaps a soft instrumental soundtrack to further immerse diners in the experience. It would add to the already lovely atmosphere and make it even more memorable. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this hidden gem if you're in Wagga Wagga. Just remember to book ahead to ensure you don't miss out on their incredible food!

My first visit today, and what a delight! Every item we tried was wonderful - flavourful and cooked to perfection; staff were friendly and attentive; the entire atmosphere was bright yet cosy, with beautiful attention to detail in every element.

We tried the mixed breiwat, chicken and lamb tagines with fresh Moroccan bread, and then a milk pastilla to finish. We had a mojito (mocktail) and mint tea (and it's hard to say which of those was better - they were both superb). Everything came out of the kitchen just perfectly presented and ready to eat, and every dish seemed even better than the last. If pushed to pick a favourite, I'd probably go with the lamb tagine, but ask me again on another day and I might say something else!

There are options for everyone here - there's scrupulous attention to detail in the menu for people eating vegetarian, gluten free, or dairy free, and everything is beautifully fresh. The space is welcoming, with a big double door that would easily accommodate a wheelchair, and both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was the right mixture of laidback and friendly - we never felt rushed, and it never felt slow.

Wagga, get yourself to Al Maghrib, this lovely gem in your midst! You...
