Oliver's - Wallan Northbound — Restaurant in Wallan

Oliver’s Wallan North has long been my regular safe stop on trips back from Melbourne due to my allergies. Unfortunately, some months ago, a staff member gave me the wrong meal, which left me very unwell for several days. I notified head office at the time, as I didn’t want anyone else to suffer the same experience.

Recently, I decided to give it another chance – and I’m so glad I did. Louise, an absolutely lovely staff member, showed exceptional kindness and genuine understanding of coeliac needs, which made all the difference. Another lovely team member (tall, blonde – sorry I don’t know your name!) was also wonderful.

Thanks to you both, I feel safe eating here again. Excellent...

There were only two ladies working and many customera so the wait was longer than usual. However, the petite lady who served us was exceptionally kind and attentive. When our 11-year-old noticed that the bottled apple cloud juice she bought tasted fizzy, even though the ingredients didn't indicate it, she asked the lady who served her about it. The lady kindly smelled the juice, found it unusual, and offered to let her pick a different one. She chose orange juice instead, which was perfect - fresh and delicious. Did hit them in busy day. I ordered two bacon rolls and 1 egg and bacon and hash brown. I got two egg and bacon rolls and two hash browns. Was that expensive I thought I had paid for three. Staff were quite rude saying I didn’t clarify hmmm not sure how clearer I could have been. Then I was excused with shoulder shrug and “we are busy”, so obviously being busy means orders can be wrong.
